A Rite From The Stars came out today, and it looks fantastic.
For those of you that don't know, it's a graphic adventure game that was successfully Kickstarted.
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/risingoat/a-rite-from-the-stars-a-3d-graphic-adventure

It's currently out DRM-free on the Phoenix store, and DRM'd on steam.
Apparantly GOG turned them down for being too niche.
Now considering some of stuff GOG has released recently, I find this absurd.
A game like this DESERVES to be on GOG.

I already started a Wishlist entry. Please add your vote, and let's make GOG change their minds.

*Bump*

This game deserves to get some attention.

That wouldn't be the first time, but what is your source for this?
I haven't seen or heard any information, even rumors, about this game and GOG.
I PM'd the game creators on Kickstarter to ask about a GOG release.
They said they wanted to be on GOG, but had been rejected.
Hence why I'm trying to get more votes on the Wishlist to try and change GOG's mind.

Thanks for translating, Frozen.

Yes, the gameplay is definitely there. It's a fantastic adventure game.

So like I said... who else wants to see the game on GOG? It's been a disappointing response so far.

Just a word of warning to anybody interested: Phoenix store isn't 100% DRM-free!

Their installers don't require a client and don't install any strange third party software, however, everything you buy from them is limited to 10 downloads and even restarting the download if it gets interrupted consumes one download from the counter.

In addition, you don't see download links on the store page, they come in a separate mail referring to a different server.

I'm not sure what to call that exactly, but download counters are in many ways worse than Steam.
So, for all practical purposes, this game isn't available as DRM-free version for the time being.

Okay, I didn't know about the 10-limit download before - that is bad.

All the more reason to add your vote to the Wishlist here, and get it here on GOG.

No, I've seen her type normally when she wants to.
It just baffles me why she chooses to encrypt most of her posts like this.

It gets better: when the game gets an update, the counter doesn't reset!
So if the game gets a few updates, at some point you are unable to download them anymore.
Hey, this game looks very nice! I am curious to find out why GOG refused to get it in store.

The game is amazing! The creators have made such a beautiful world. And the main character is so adorable.
I'm enjoying it so much.

Maybe if there is enough votes on the Wishlist, GOG will see the error or their ways, and change their minds.
