GOG, why are you sending me a special redeem email discount for a game, that is currently that price anyway?

Lego Bricktales

And it gets weirder, as until a day or so ago, I had that game in my basket, along with others while I pondered whether to buy it or not. In the end I decided not to get it at its current discount price, that same price as via the redeem email discount.

Hell I even got a reminder email too about the game in my basket, in case I'd forgotten about it. By the time I received the email, the game was long gone from my basket.

The wonders of marketing, and no doubt algorithms.

And annoyingly they got me excited over nothing ... not a lot, but enough for me to do this thread. LOL

Sometimes it feels like GOG are turning senile, especially in regard to silly emails. It's not a good look.

Yeah, I've seen similar. *sigh* Have to think GOG hopes to reach people on the mailing list who don't frequent the site. Dunno...

Reminds me of the "thank you" emails I've gotten after purchases (multiple times) recommending...

... games I already own.

Ah GOG...

Welcome to gog, where everything is held together by hope and a prayer...and plenty of duck tape.

Ah GOG...
Well do your family and friends own the game as well?
Because as we know gog wants every family member(even in the same house) to own their very own copy :)

Booroodabin Bowls Club is proud to present: Senile GOG and his Al Gore Rhythms.

Can't see any rhyme or reason really, unless they are trying to communicate with someone else who is sneakily reading my emails. LOL

But even then, no Redeem Discount is needed, as it is that price anyway, due to expire round the same time.

Indeed, they are a laugh and a half those.

Even the Duct Tape is wondering what the hell is going on.

But alas it's not 'One Night Only', and there is no Senior's Discount.
