Of course, we all know what would happen if they took a vote from everyone in society.
The majority by far would be saying publish inside of 5 years, maybe 10 ... or it becomes Public Domain.
Clearly the wrong people call the shots, make the rules, and pretend to serve society.
A similar thing would happen with DRM too if we all took a vote on it ... would be voted out of existence.
P.S. I am talking about companies here, not individuals who have developed a product, who in my view should always retain a right to their product ... Publishers be damned ... they should do the right thing or else.
