Since a few minutes, reply doesn`t work anymore. When I try to reply to someone, the reply isn`t posted, instead the text window stays there forever. Anyone else with this problem?

Weird, now it works. Can it be, that only the specific one I tried to quote didn`t work for some GoG specific reason? Hm...

When it happens cancelling and replying again has the same hang.

Sorry, but I don't know how to work around it, other than waiting for it to fix itself (copying your message so you can try again later is advisable).

It has happened to me quite often.

Once I wanted to post an extremly ̶v̶e̶r̶b̶o̶s̶e̶ I mean elaborate comment it got sucked up within the ether. It was by far the comment I worked most on, over an hour of writing time, compared to my usual lenghy comment which don't even take a quarter of that time.

Since sometimes it also sucks my smaller comments I don't think it was because my comment was too large, perhaps it had far too many grammar errors and GOG decided to not show it for my sake :D! Not to mention fixing those little errors often almost takes me about as much as writing one in the first place.

Interesting. Reminds me, that I have heard some time ago, that replying won`t work, when the quoted text contains specific characters/symbols, very similar to the problem that some links cannot be posted when they contain specific characters.

what's funny is, when you made this thread, I wasn't have problems with replies here, but I was having problems with them in the Steam forum.

If that is the case, I see four possibilities.

1. Non-ASCII characters. I would have thought that a Polish company would account for that given their alphabet.
2. Funny character encoding. (This happens in GOG galaxy, where they should control that)
3. Specific forms of punctuation. This could be a result of SQL injection attack prevention.
4. The "quote" tags don't line up properly.


Edit: Option 4 may very well be the answer. The first version of this post used square brackets around the word quote in point 4. That was enough to trigger the hang.

I get the issue once in a while, I will respond to someone and boom, hit reply and nothing happens. I have to shut browser and reset it or something to get it to work.
