I started a Gog account a couple years ago using an email address missing a T in hotmail.com, it apparently accepted it and now I can't access this account to download games from their gog galaxy app because it's asking for a two-step authenticator but I cannot verify this code . Is there any solution to this fix other than starting a new account because I have obtained some games I really was looking foward to playing. Im only logged in on a browser but I can't change email or disable two step authentication through this because again it asked for two -step auth again .

and this is a reason why two step is stupid.

How?

Most sites i see when you make an account you have to verify you can access said email address, and when i made my own site making the verification code wasn't that (Send code to email with random string, store random string and when verified remove string and mark email as valid).

I suppose changing your address doesn't require verification, though it probably should just to be safe.

It's more a reason why requiring email verification is a good idea.
