Hm,...Buccaneers looks interesting.

A quick glance at the screenshots made me think of a low-poly Akella's Pirates of the Caribbean (or I guess Sea Dogs II originally) 2003.

Buccaneers! makes me think of an old SSI game called Broadsides. Played that a lot on my C=64

Yepp! Was also my first thought.
But the land raids remember me more of Sid Meier's Pirates!

That's where my thoughts went as well. I'm not disinterested, but I worry they might be biting off a bit more than they can chew.

It had me thinking about AC Black Sail, with much lower res. Could be interesting.

This game is made by fans and other long-time modders of that game.

Buccaneers! will go on the wishlist.

What I want (and maybe it's just me), is Assassin's Creed 4 without the boring assassin bits wedged in.

Sid Meier's Pirates! is close, but doesn't have that seamless blend of ship battle / boarding action / land combat that Black Flag pulled off so well.

Hopefully Buccaneers! can provide that.

I wish it wasn't 1st-person tho. I know they did that for the VR support, but I think it will detract from the overall experience.

Mondealy really wishes it was Undertale.

And Undertale wishes it was Everhood but alas it came out too early ;)!

I am seriously interested in it though but no idea about the combat.
