Straight from Argonaut Games, the legendary studio founded by gaming visionary Jez San OBE and famed for introducing pioneering 3D technology to a predominantly 2D gaming landscape in the 1980s, we’re happy to announce its much-anticipated remaster of the 1997 multi-million-selling hit, Croc Legend of the Gobbos – and by getting it on GOG, you’ll receive the classic version for free, as well!

Soon you’ll be able to revisit the enchanting world of Croc Legend of the Gobbos in both its original form and in its stunning remastered version!

Croc Legend of the Gobbos follows the heartwarming journey of an endearing, humble little crocodile equipped with only his iconic backpack and a wiggly butt as he sets off on his quest to rescue the Gobbos from the clutches of the nefarious Baron Dante and his hordes of Dantinis. Croc must platform his way across a series of unique worlds by running, jumping, climbing, swimming, and tail spinning to save the Gobbos from captivity.

Wishlist it now!
Any reason this isn't getting a Steam release? Cool it's on GOG though. I hope we get the sequel remastered eventually as well.
Because Croc does not need the money from the majority, rather the love from the minority.

Sir.Tomato: When is "soon"? I am eager to dive in back into this classic.
According to that article linked in other topic ("Games that are unofficially confirmed...) by alexandros050, it's supposed to be released in 2024, link to mentioned article:
https://www.gematsu.com/2024/10/croc-legend-of-the-gobbos-remaster-confirmed-for-ps5-xbox-series-ps4-xbox-one-switch-and-gog

Not bad, before reading this article, I was speculating that it will be 2025 release.

dnovraD: 1) Spyro
2) Gex
3) Frogger
4) Yoshi's Story
throw a stone at me , but i never played any of the five games
Nah, from the Classics, Croc 1+2 and Spyro are my favorite 3D Jump and run. Tomba 1+2 is great as well, but it is actually 2.5D.

No stones to throw, it was a weird generation and there were a butt ton of games to pick from.

It will probably come to steam later.
Used to play this a lot on PSX, both the first and second one, though I've played the second the most.
I remember it being a really hard game because of the tank controls and the way it was hard to understand where to go and what to do. This might be because of my age at the time though. It might be easier to play as a grown up adult. haha
