It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Hello GOG

Your new Cookie Declaration Tool (as noted in an email sent to customers) does nothing when clicked.

As noted in the email ..

"You can also already access the Cookie Declaration tool from the footnote of our website."

At the foot of your website, there is a clickable link for "Cookie Decleration" (not Cookie Decleration Tool, I presume they are the same thing). When clicked in Google Chrome, nothing happens.

It is the same whether I am logged in or not.

Other links near the "Cookie Declaration" link do work .. See screenshot below.

surprise, surprise! thats the daily madness at gog, between stealing our private data through telemetry, galaxy almost blowing up pcs, crappy download speeds, non working games and pr lies, we now have the option to agree or to agree to give away our data. since that button doesn't work for me eighter. today the big question here isn't if or when some shitty aaa publisher will buy bankrupt cdpr/gog for a handful of dollars, but who will it be ea, microsoft or ubi? gog i want my money back!!!!

don't buy games on gog!
You need to be on the main www.gog.com homepage when you click that link. If it still won't work, one of your browser add-ons or settings is probably to blame.

Thanks for clarifying. I was clicking it on the forum page and kept wondering why it was not working :).

Not sure why I'm not used to things not working on the forum by now...

Disable your blockers (temporarily) and refresh the page. Does it work now?

It seems to only work on the homepage provided one uses a (mostly) vanilla profile with not too strict privacy settings. And everything is checked by default, of course.

One very interesting thing is that GOG has 68 necessary cookies one can't opt-out - 68! - with a good chunk of them being Google/Youtube and Twitch related, and a number being persistent ones but with no description.
The more interesting thing is that in the browser I use exclusively for GOG, i.e. I stay logged in and hence the cookies were/are from before this Cookie Declaration thing was introduced, I only see 13 individual cookies listed (3 of which seem GOG-Galaxy related). And of those 13, only 6 are included in the list of the 68 necessary ones, with 3 of them not having a description of why they're even considered necessary.
So, either the rest of the 68 are somehow 'embedded' (and thus hidden which would be not good) in my other 7 cookies, or the site functions just fine without them even though they're considered necessary.

Would be interesting to hear what others see in their browsers.
I disabled blockers and scripts were already enabled but it still doesn't work.

Rep system doesn't work on the forums either.

It works if I temporarily disable "UBlock Origin" Chrome plugin.

With 68 "necessary" cookies though, a lot of which are persistant, it only took me a couple of seconds to decide UBlock Origin will forever more block the site and the strict Chromium Privacy settings I have set will never change :)

Bleachbit will be used to clean out anything sneaky, plus DOM storage.

Thank you for the answers guys.
