I am looking for game to play with my significant one. We had a blast playing Overcooked, and in general I prefer co-op games, but it is not mandatory.

Basically I am looking for games where two players play using a single computer. Preferably at the same time, just like Overcooked, but turn based like Trackmania Nation or Worms would be also acceptable.

If you played any game like that, please share your experience.
I played all the following in couch mode with my wife, friends and loved ones and they were great:

Bonkies
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
Cuphead
Streets of Rogue
Crawl
Moon Hunters
Death Road to Canada
Broforce
Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime
Towerall: Ascenscion
Pixeljunk Shooter
Huntdown

Additionally, if you have more than one machines at home and a LAN setup, the following games have been a blast:
Terraria
Factorio
Stardew Valley
Unepic
Hammerwatch
Screen Cheat
Mobile Forces
Warlord Battlecry 3
Empire Earth
Age of Wonders: Shadow Magic
Master of Orion 2

Note that some games in the list are competitive only (Crawl, Screen Cheat), Streets of Rogue has slightly funky split screens mechanics and Moon Hunters is a bit on the short side.

Indeed, one of the better coop games on GOG's catalog. Enjoy :).

Yup, it has split screen COOP. i found out and was playing it with my nephew.
Thinking about it Serious Sam also has splitscreen
Lots of them! Listed here and in plenty of other threads.

My top recommendation for couch co-op is always Tesla vs Lovecraft.

Did you also do Overcooked 2?

Sadly my absolute favorite couch co-op games are not on GOG. I played them on console, but the two Lara Croft overhead games are brilliant. (Guardian of Light, Temple of Osiris; first one is slightly better).

Magnitus: Stardew Valley
Also has same-device co-op, too!

I would totally recommend Thrillville: Off the Rails. It has plenty of fun mini-games, both cooperative and competetive.

There may be some 'not that great' mini-games, but overall it's fun title to play with someone else.
Some details on ones which I own -- here or elsewhere -- and for which I've looked into the multiplayer details. (Most of this is adapted from a post I made in this currently-maintained thread, which mentions a lot more games with various forms of multiplayer):

- Age of Wonders (hotseat [not sure how many human players are supported] -- though I assume that, like a couple other games mentioned below, playing this way would change the dynamics of the game somewhat)
- Antihero (head-to-head hotseat -- though playing this way [as opposed to online] would change the gameplay a bit, since there is fog of war is specific to each player, but you'd obviously be able to see what the other character can during that player's turn)
- Broforce (shared-screen co-op, as well as some sort of competitive mode, both for up 4 players)
- Caveblazers (dynamic shared/split-screen [IIRC] 2-player co-op)
- Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!! (2-player split-screen co-op)
- Death Road to Canada (shared-screen co-op for up to 4 players)
- Epic Pinball Collection (turn-based score competition -- I'm basing this one entirely on memory, as I haven't played the couple tables I'm familiar with in many years, but I seem to remember being able to set up a game to rotate through at least 4 players, with a new player getting their turn when the previous one loses a "normal" ball)
- Hellpoint (2-player co-op [not sure if split-screen, shared-screen, or dynamic])
- JYDGE (co-op [2-player shared-screen, I think])
- THE KING OF FIGHTERS 2002 (shared-screen head-to-head)
- Neon Chrome (shared-screen co-op for up to 4 players in both the main game and the "Arena" DLC mode)
- Oh...Sir!! The Insult Simulator (head-to-head hotseat)
- Spelunky [the main version sold here, not the older one bundled with it as a bonus] (shared-screen co-op and deathmatch modes for up to 4 players)
- Streets of Rogue ([I think dynamic] shared/split-screen co-op for up to 4 players)
- Talisman: Digital Edition (hotseat for up to 6 players -- though playing with shared controls like this would presumably mean you couldn't [judiciously] cast spells during other people's turns, which is kind of important for spell-focused characters)
- Tonight We Riot (2-player co-op [presumably shared-screen?])
- Towerfall: Ascension (shared-screen competitive play for up to 4 players, as well as a co-op mode [I think maybe just for 2 players -- though the "Dark World" expansion features co-op for up to 4 players])
- Tyrian 2000 (this is based solely on a single screenshot from the GOG store page; based on that "Player 1" that can be seen on the left, I'd assume it's a similar case to the Epic Pinball games mentioned above -- and any number of other action titles from back in the day -- where you can set it up so players take turns, with a different player starting their run when the previous one loses a life or whatever, and everyone's scores being compared at the end)
- Worms Forts: Under Siege (hotseat for a maximum of [just going by screenshots] at least 4 players)
- X-Morph: Defense Complete Edition (2-player co-op [apparently split-screen])

Another, older (abandoned) topic with some good recommendations is here.

Magnitus: Screen Cheat
I'm reasonably sure that this one also has same-PC shared-screen play. Given its very specific premise, it would be very strange if it didn't. :P

Hello etb!

Have you tried "Brothers: A Tale of two Sons"?

It is a more story- and a bit puzzle-focussed game originally intended to be played on a twin-stick controller (by just one player) but you can configure the inputs in a way that each one of you controls one of the two brothers!
And it is a kind of touching, emotionally story in a fairy tale like world, told without words. Maybe your other half might like it.
Brothers

Another one, much more funnier and sillier would be "Think of the Children".
Both players play each as one of the parents and have to do a lot of things in parallel to take care of or protect the children and to limit the chaos these children are causing. :)
Think of the Children

And what about the calmer, beautiful puzzle platformer "Mari and Bayu - The Road Home".
One player controls the ant (Mari) by means of a controller or the keyboard, while the other one controls a small firefly (Bayu) with the mouse. (It is seems to be inspired by the way how you controlled the star collecting or shooting with the pointing function of the remote in both Super Mario Galaxy titles on Wii. Only Bayu has additional options or means to interact with the game world.)

"Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove" includes an up to 4 Player same-screen multiplayer co-op mode called "Shovel Knight Showdown".
Shovel Knight

And "Rayman Origins" is another platform (jump and run) game that includes a full co-op mode on the same device/screen.
While "Rayman Raving Rabids" is a sometimes chaotic or at least hectic minigame or partygame collection of sort with a lot of variety.

Raving Rabids

Since, you mentioned the Worms series, I would higly recommend "Worms Ultimate Mayhem" which includes the funny levels (campaign) from the original "Worms 3D", as well!
Or "Worms Crazy Golf" which is a funny parody on 2D side-scrolling golf.
Both of them are turn-based, where each player takes it turns one at a time.
Worms Mayhem
Crazy Golf

And I almost forgot the Traveller's Tale's "LEGO games"! There are plenty of them available here on GOG.com, already. These are the typically humorous top-down view collect-a-tons type of games.
My favorites of them (which are available here) are:
"LEGO Indiana Jones the Original Adventures" and
"LEGO Star Wars the Complete Saga"
I prefer the older ones for they do not have any real speach/voices, so the humor is more based on pantomimic and slapsticks.

Seeing a lot of good suggestions.

Sacred 2 offers a couch co-op option. (Or at least the Console version did)

Ring Runner - Flight of the sages has a coop option, although that's either multiplayer, or playing via a 2-player ship.
Streets of Rage 4, Fight'N'Rage
or Fist Puncher are also good options if you want to smack some faces

Trine 1 & 2 is a popular suggestion. I finished them with a friend in couch co-op. Excellent games.

We've also had many hours of fun with Crimsonland.

Overall our favorite couch co-op game is probably Risk of Rain. We've had some pretty great 4-player co-op sessions with that trying out different character builds. This is one we always return to when we are more than two that get together to play, but it's a good fit for two or even one player.

Also can't go wrong with Metal Slug.

Worms never goes out of style, and I think Worms World Party is the best available on GOG.
