It would currently cost me $63.39, but would give me $7.40 back in wallet funds, bringing the effective price down to $55.99.

Without discount, the game would've cost me $90.59 with $10,60 back in wallet funds, effective price being $79.99 in this case.

After the FPP goes away, the game would have to be discounted by 38 or 39% percent to match the current 30% discount.

I'm just wondering... In this case, would you wait until the game is at a 40% discount (could take months and I would save $1 compared to now), or would you buy now and not risk the game taking a long time to even hit that 40% discount?

I'm going through as many games as I can where I could still squeeze out some relevant wallet funds before the FPP goes down under and this is probably the biggest dilemma I have encountered.

Thanks for any input.
I would wait until it's 75% off but in your two scenarios i don't really see how a single 1$ matter, i mean it's nothing and no reason to wait if you really want the game now.

It's a THQ Nordic game, so it will likely be 50% off by summer or, at worst, Christmas.

If you are not planning to play it right now (or even this year), I don't see why you should rush just so you can get the fair price package.

My original intention was to wait for at least a 50% discount, but that was accounting for wallet funds still being there. The dropping of FPP really threw a hurdle into that plan.

You really think the game will hit 50% discount like 7 months after release? That would of course be preferable but I want to avoid the situation where I would be waiting a year from now only for the game to match the price it has on the current sale with the wallet funds.

I have not been following the price trends of Nordic's games closely. Are the discounts really increasing that fast for their releases?

Battle Chasers: Night War, Elex and The Dwarves were discounted by 50% 7 months after their release. Black Mirror (2017) and This is the Police were discounted by 50% 8 months after their release. Spellforce 3 was discounted by 50% one year after its release. These are the trends for some of Nordic's previous years releases. For a high-price game like Darksiders 3, I really don't think you will have to wait more than the summer to get a 50% discount and I would be surprised if you had to wait longer than the winter.

So, my advice is; if you want to play it right now, by all means do so. If you are not going to play the game this year, don't give in quite yet.
