Hello everyone! I have news regarding Europa Universalis IV and some of its DLCs :)

Four essential DLCs of EUIV will be integrated into the base game: Rights of Man, Art of War, Digital Extreme Upgrade, and Common Sense. That means that all current and future EUIV players will receive these DLCs absolutely free of charge!

Here's how it's going to work:

On October 10th, 2024, all the aforementioned DLCs will be available to get for free on our store.

A week later, on October 17th, 2024, the base game of Europa Universalis IV will receive a patch that will integrate those 4 DLCs into it. On the same date, the DLCs will be removed from the store as individual products.

By doing so Paradox Interactive wants to celebrate and honor constant support from their community and reward players and fans for their for their ongoing engagement with Europa Universalis IV.

Now, if you're a long-time owner of the base game and those 4 DLCs, and you're looking to expand your EUIV fun, then soon Ultimate Bundle for the game will join our catalog - the largest collection of Europa Universalis IV expansions in one place.

Note: the 3 out of 4 DLCs that will be integrated into the base game on October 17th are currently part of the Starter Edition. Because of that, on the same date, this Edition will be replaced by a new one with the same title but different content. The current Starter Edition will be no longer available.

But but but... I only bought them two months ago.

I already own almost all the DLCs individually, so this will be yet another bundle, sitting there, claiming to be not owned. I should have not bought EU4 at all and waited.

This is good.

I hope Paradox can take a moment and reflect on this and in general their DLC policies. When you need a concordance of concordances for compatibility charts, you're doing things wrong.

It's still going to be a monumental task to even understand what even exists for the title, let alone what's good and worth it. That's why I gave up entirely on even bothering.

IMO, all these cosmetic DLCs (immersion packs, music expansions, etc) shouldn't ever have been itemized in the first place (if ever even sold separately at all). [Personally I find per-nation different appearances, like all those Civ4 mods did, make game play worse since you can't recognize unit types by looking and have to defer back to text.]

Will the ultimate edition also be offered for -85% just like on Steam right now?
Now if only Paradox could do this more often.
