1st person perspective is why!
Wow this is amazing. Thanks.
Looking forward to it. Here's hoping that Bethesda is too distracted by their problem children to take notice, and that the modders have taken measures to not be taken down.

Interesting, I would actually try Fallout 4 just for this mod. I would actually play it now. Unfortunately this is years away from getting completed. Odds are Fallout 5&6 will get released before this.

Yupp. The only mod that I'm excited about is the NWN2 mod which remakes BG2. The BG: Reloaded is quite nice.
Am curious how they going to handle the depth of fo2 from feeling like pen and paper RPG where you could attempt anything you wanted, where fo4 has the depth of a puddle.

Also how many voice lines in fo2? a ridiculous amount. Dialogue changing even based on your int and skills choices. Fo2 only voiced a few characters if memory holds. even googling there 13,000 lines for the protag and you can play as male and female that is 26,000 lines just for the main character. And i cannot really find any info about the total lines but being that even side characters can vary dialogue based on your character probably several 1000 for some of the side characters.

Easiest solution would be to skip recording and just add all the txt to be read. Or they going to have to cut a ton of lines and focus the story on a specific range of choices. Not really getting the full fo2 experience.

Cool but that would sound wierd when your suppost to read things with feels etc. too robot for a whole game it would sound wierd.

Lest i would think so, i would rather read text.

Though there is like CIA stuff that can do voices like humans but i doubt they would let us use that stuff :P.

Why these mods uses voice actors to read lines like the fo3 mod, NVs etc. Maybe in a decade or two a computer can do all of it and noone would be able to tell the difference. And voice actors need to find new work i guess. :P

We will get there one day though i just curious how the mod team might handle a game like fo2, think new vegas has 60,000 lines of dlaiogue for the full game and i cant even find anything for fo2 that lists all the lines just the main character alone are almost half that when you add in male and female.

nm the speech checks were not even properly implemented into fo4 though i am sure you could make a check that would trigger alternate dialoge like when you set your int to 2 or 3 and people talked to you like you were an idiot because you were.

dunno though i think they got a ton of work to cram fo2 into the fo4 engine, and i wish them luck i too rusty at the geck and bethesda modding to feel like i could do much for the mod team. but many people will not play fo2 becuause it is so old school and clunky to most modern gamers having a updated 3d version nm a free one well noone would have an excuse to skip out on one of the greatest RPGs ever made.
