Whenever I download and install a game they ALWAYS go into the default GoGGames folder, never program files or anywhere else. Can anyone tell me why at installation, even though I always go to options to confirm "Create Desktop Icon" is checked, it ends up being hit and miss? As in an icon sometimes appears on the PC screen when installation finishes and it sometimes doesn't. (I also go to options as final check to make sure I haven't downloaded the Galaxy thing in error).
It's not (so far) been a serious problem, as I am just about savvy enough to explore the directory and create a shortcut that works. I can even change the icon to the GoG one. That's about as far as I go though.
I think in the last 12 months it's about 50 /50 before that I can't recall a problem.
So you teccy people, why does the icon sometimes get created and sometimes not?
