Undertale

Yes, 5 years later. I started the game back then. I really liked it. Cannot really remember why I stopped playing. I probably started some other game or got a bunch of stuff to do and forgot about it.
Thing is that I really enjoyed it and I'm so pleased with this game.
i recently finished warlords battlecry II, had few crashes but still decent rts game

Wasteland 2

Very good, but also very long, perhaps a smidge too long in fact. There's an unexpectedly vast amount of content, which fortunately includes the narrative: a lot/all locations have 2 or more different outcomes depending on what you do, so the game has very good replay value.

The only negative thing I can say about it is that there aren't enough avatar portraits and 3D model customization. That is, a lot of in game characters don't match their portraits at all, and a lot of the portraits are re-used many times. Given the dizzying amount of characters you can interact with in the game, it was probably a game-design flaw to have to assign a portrait to each.

It's clearly heavily inspired by Fallout 1&2, which in turn was inspired by the first Wasteland, but if I have to say, I'd still pick Fallout 1&2 as my favorite post-apoc RPGs. But Wasteland 2 comes very close, which was a very pleasant surprise.
Cat Quest

Game is cute, funny (there are tons of cat-related puns) and colorful and I had a lot of fun playing it. The fight aren't very hard once you've learned the patterns of the enemies and how to dodge them and yet the game stayed interesting enough to play till the end and also to get some of the achievements (clear all dungeons, complete all sidequests, get kitty to level 99). I might even play again to try some of the challenge modes that were unlocked by completing the game. Will probably also buy the sequel in the future.

Vector

A runner game with sort-of Prince of Persia style movement that I put on hold back in 2014 and today went back and finished it. As a runner it's OK, but the story campaign ends on a cliffhanger with "To be Continued in Vector 2" so fuck that.

Since I didn't earn lots of stars or tons of money in the levels I wasn't able to unlock most of the "Bonus" or "Hunder Mode" levels, so i just beat as many of those as I could unlock and called it done. I'm not going to spend the time it would take me to master the levels to be able to unlock the rest of the games. Anyway, I typically count games finished once I beat their story campaigns.
1979 Revolution: Black Friday

The topic of the game is very interesting and it could have been a good game, but unfortunately it is not. You learn a lot about the Iranian Revolution, but the scenes (and the game as a whole) are too short and so it's hard to relate to the protagonists and their story. What's even worse, you have to make moral choices, but don't get enough (or sometimes any information) about the events and the people involved.

There are also some technical problems. One time I got stuck in a corner and had to restart, because a NPC blocked my way out, sometimes I was able to walk through items.

I can just assume that the developers wanted to make a longer and much better game, but the budget got in their way.

Princess Remedy in a Heap of Trouble

It was a good game, but I didn't like it as much as the first one. Probably because it was just more of the same and while the first one took me completely by surprise, this time I already knew the game mechanics and what was coming.

And while in theory it was a good idea to give Princess Remedy the possibility to date everyone and by doing so choose a skill, in the end it didn't work very well. Mostly because you don't know what a certain skill will do and when you try and don't like it, you have to walk back and find the old companion again.

I wouldn't mind another game in the series, but when they make one they should introduce some new gameplay elements. Otherwise it might get boring.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Hearts of Stone for the first time with mod “over 9000 weight”. First big DLC brought me more than promised 10 hours of additional gameplay. The biggest difference in comparison with original game is bigger focus on (in game) cinematics which were in all main line quests. It was also good to see Shani who was missing in original game. In my opinion Hearts of Stone are different kind of game, but expands Wild Hunt in a good way.

Hidden Folks

I picked up the Beach Pack during salesmas and replayed the game - it is very clever and works it's gimmicks well. I still really like it and can easily recommend if you like Waldo style find-its. Cute and full of little humor.
Might and Magic 6 The Slog Through Castle Darkmoor-This took me about 10-12 days in real life and about 3-4 months in game. Now that its done the game is fun again.
My Brother Rabbit

Good game, different from most HOGs - more like Samorost series and Tiny Bang Story than anything else. Pretty short tho.

Borderlands 3 (XB1X)

Finally some more Borderlands. I hate all of the reviews that use "more of the same" as a negative. If there was a Borderlands game every year like COD, then fair enough. But 2.5 games in 11 years is hardly saturation for the series. It is more of the same and that's what I wanted.

It compares well to Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel. I don't think the maps were as good, less open areas to drive around and far more linear on foot sections. But the shooting play is actually better. Faster paced and rewards getting in and keeping on the move and punishes stagnant stay behind cover play. A bit closer to Doom 2016 in feel. I played as Amara the Siren who is probably the best close in melee fighter of the 4 character choices, like Brick in the first game.
I don't understand the people saying that Borderlands 3 hasn't progressed technically. Of course it still uses the traditional art style, but the move to Unreal 4 has brought far better lighting and detail, plus HDR. I played a few hours of Borderlands 2 before starting as a refresher and then went to this game and the graphics are way better, plus movement and control are much more fluid. It ran great, I can only remember maybe one or two instances where the fps dropped so that I notices- out of 85 hours of play. Of course I was using freesync, which could be covering up minor frame drops away from 60.

All the familiar characters return, including a more grown up, but still as insane, Tiny Tina. And my long time favorite- Tannis, has a bigger role than usual this time.

There's no question that it was more fun than I've had playing a shooter since Borderlands 2. If you hate the series this one will not change your mind. If you love it and haven't played a Borderlands game for a few years then you will have fun with it...as long as you can stay into it for about the 80 hours needed to complete.

Moxxi's Heist of the Handsome Jackpot

The first main DLC for Borderlands 3. Adds a new campaign with new areas. This time you're working for Moxxi in an Oceans 11 (or 12 or 13 or 38 or whatever they're up to) themed raid on an ex Handsome Jack orbital casino...which went into lockdown after he died 7 years earlier. It takes about 12 to 14 hours if you're fully doing all side content. Not quite as good as the best Borderlands DLC- like Tiny Tina's, but it was still solid. It's good that I need to wait for the next DLC's now, as I'm finally done and need to play something else for a bit. Should be all ready to go again by the next DLC.

I would just like to thank my old PS4Pro for making this possible. The selling of which gave me a big pile of cash that I used to buy a heap of quite new games instead of waiting 2 years like usual (plus a new 2DS XL as well).

Entry 5: Serious Sam The First Encounter(Gog Version-Win 10, 64 Bit)

(Main List of complete games in Post 21 of this thread)

(Also the following is based on the main game....I didn't play the tech demos/demos/etc yet)

Pros

Fun setting, and a great protagonist, intro & outro

Also awesome one liners, most enemy types, some good music, some nice secrets(especially in level 1 and in the final secret level[sacred yards]).

Cons/nitpicks

Game auto pauses if one minimizes the screen(in fullscreen mode)....and if one doesn't have a pause key they will need to hit the right keys(with me it was/is Left ctrl and num lock) to un pause(or find a way to re bind pause, if possible).

Sometimes when going back to the game(from desktop) the OSs pointer gets "stuck" over the game's pointer and nothing can be clicked(including firing weapons with the mouse)

The waves of enemies are INSANE on the difficulties starting at(at least) normal.

The enemy spawning for many pickups(including some major enemies for minor health/etc pickups) is also a bit over the top.

The amount of enemies spawned in some "arenas" is a bit much on higher difficulties as well.

Overall I give it a 6.5-7/10...very nice little FPS despite it's flaws. :)

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Game of the Year Edition

160 hours well spent. I got the good ending but failed on the romance department. lol. I know I missed a lot of side and hidden quests but that's okay. It's just another excuse to play it again. I'll play the trilogy again in a few months but this time, I'll make sure I'll end up with Triss.
Thief: Deadly Shadows

Excellent game with the Sneaky Upgrade mod, which alters the levels to be completely seamless among other things. Deadly Shadows never reaches the consistent highs of Thief 2, but I would rank certain levels like Shalebridge Cradle and Wieldstrom Museum among the most memorable in the series. I loved the idea of returning to a hub inbetween missions, but some poor design decisions like respawning guards detracted heavily the experience. Overall though, I feel it's a lot better than its reputation led me to believe.
