Andrey82: So, Ubisoft finally turned off servers for many of their old games, which now are completely offline and lost all additional content. And this list includes Assassin's Creed II/III/IV Black Flag, Far Cry 3 and so on. First Crew is completely unplayable right now.
And I remember, that few years ago, SCPM discovered that Assassin's Creed 2 through 3 are coming to GOG:
https://www.gog.com/forum/general/games_that_are_unofficially_confirmed_for_release_in_the_future_part_2/post8039 So, perhaps GOG will do same thing as they did with Alpha Protocol and will finally release AC II/III/IV and Far Cry 3 with all additional content activated and optimized for modern systems? Was there any news about possibility of such releases?
You forget that this would still need Ubisoft being d'accord with the mentioned games to be released DRM-free on GoG, and an offline copy provided with every purchase on top of that.
Given Ubisoft's recent statements, especially on ownership of digital goods I don't see any scenario where they would agree to such an "outrageous" proposal, unless they do a hard 180 and suddenly would be supportive of the matter.
