Thanks, I just had to do some spring cleaning!

It's a pity that many games that you and WinterSnowfall have found continue to be missing, I was really hoping to see Soulstice for example. The press reports also seem to make a good number of mistakes, or some deal has fallen through for some games that should have been on GOG a long time ago.

So, Ubisoft finally turned off servers for many of their old games, which now are completely offline and lost all additional content. And this list includes Assassin's Creed II/III/IV Black Flag, Far Cry 3 and so on. First Crew is completely unplayable right now.

And I remember, that few years ago, SCPM discovered that Assassin's Creed 2 through 3 are coming to GOG: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/games_that_are_unofficially_confirmed_for_release_in_the_future_part_2/post8039

So, perhaps GOG will do same thing as they did with Alpha Protocol and will finally release AC II/III/IV and Far Cry 3 with all additional content activated and optimized for modern systems? Was there any news about possibility of such releases?

You forget that this would still need Ubisoft being d'accord with the mentioned games to be released DRM-free on GoG, and an offline copy provided with every purchase on top of that.
Given Ubisoft's recent statements, especially on ownership of digital goods I don't see any scenario where they would agree to such an "outrageous" proposal, unless they do a hard 180 and suddenly would be supportive of the matter.

No kidding. It's not like they were itching to release more games here anyway with the Brothers in Arms games being the last releases from them over five years ago, which at the time kinda felt out-of-the-blue too.

I still find it incredibly weird that we have a publisher like Sony releasing their newer games here, while the likes of EA and Ubisoft can't even be bothered to bring more of their older titles to GOG.

We have been trying to open a door with them for some time now. You can check this thread about it.
But so far, Ubisoft leadership does not seem very receptive. Either way we try to keep the door open. We never know what the future holds.

It's funny given that (as I'm sure you're aware) EA put the GOG / EA Desktop versions of old games (and some new old games, all C&C I think) on Steam a few weeks back, but they can't be bothered to give us the missing titles here. Makes me think EA just doesn't want to deal with a (comparably) tiny store like GOG anymore (similar to pulling out of ZoomPlatform), doesn't like GOG being explicitly DRM-free anymore, or feels similar to Ubi about preventing "ownership". It's interesting that neither has bothered to pull their games from here though.

EA did actually pull a bunch of games from GOG in 2021...

...but they did a U-turn a few months later.

Good news, folks. I managed to speak with the developer of Street of Rogue 2. He confirms that the game will normally be released on GOG (but maybe not in early access).

"that is the plan though I can't guarantee it will make the start of early access"

Please don't forget to vote for the game: https://www.gog.com/wishlist/games/street_of_rogue_2

Speaking of my thread, Ubisoft have recently restructured their server again, so all feedback was lost. I'll make a new thread later this week. This time we'll need to pick special roles to see it too lol. Sigh... I wish they had never closed their forum.

A few Prime Matter (and Ravenscourt) game API entries went live, expect an imminent release:
Floodland
Mato Anomalies
Scars Above
The Chant

I believe the only games Prime Matter games left unreleased here would be Painkiller: H&D, Payday 3, Dolmen, The Last Oricru, Crossfire: Legion, and Gungrave G.O.R.E., but it could just be that any of those weren't discovered in the API yet.
Thanks to WinterSnowfall, as always. :)
