So, when are we going to see the game on GOG? XD
In before complaints that Geralt is being used in a game with DRM (I assume Monter Hunter does?) / Not on GOG etc.

Though considering Capcom did release Dragons Dogma here there is possibly slightly more chance of Monster Hunter coming here than there was of Soul Calibur.

Around the same time Soul Calibur arrives I guess

@Above, Monster Hunter uses Denuvo. It only got cracked recently. I'm grateful for the long period it stayed uncracked, the series deserves it (115 days)

No idea why CDPR is handing out Witcher cameos all of a sudden, it's not like Capcom or Namco are ever going to reciprocate and bring their games to GOG...

We don't know the terms of the agreement... #WishfulThinking

Or maybe it's a way of keeping some exposure for the franchise while CDPR is busy with Cyberpunk, before they can start with The Witcher 4...

Or maybe it's just good money that can be invested in other projects, for example in the sister company that sells games...

Advertising?
Money?
Some other reciprocal benefit?

CDPR is not GOG, and the Witcher series does not in any way belong to GOG, they sell the Witcher games elsewhere so I don't see why cameos in non-GOG games is surprising.

Which probably isn't the point.
Looks like your typical cross promotion thing likely aimed at the console audience first and foremost to me.

Yep, it uses Denuvo.
Geralt has enough in common with Monster Hunter that it does fit. We'll see how well they pull it off.
I really like this collab, great excuse to play Monster Hunter World again!
Hopefully it's not PC exclusive or I'll miss out on it.

While they're at it, it'd be pretty funny to see Geralt in the new Smash. :P

It would, but CDPR weren't very complimentary about the Switch so I doubt they'd have any interest.

But I'd love it just for the sheer outrage it would likely generate here.

Maybe they could put him in Mario Kart too? :D

Yeah, the outrage would be entertaining and the sight of Geralt crammed into a tiny go-kart with his knees sticking up in the air would be good too.
The danger from cross-overs, of course, comes years later when licensing agreements expire, IPs change hands, etc.

I certainly hope that CDP asked for an appropriate payment for this. With currency being Capcom games released on GOG. That would be much better than the price that Bandai Namco paid them (which was - nothing).
The Witcher 4 may not happen with Sapkowski's attitude (his latest words words about the games were "I am not aware of any games").
