(They did it once before...I assume they could do so again if need be...thus locking a bunch of old non used threads and preventing the necroing of them)

Pumpkin Jack, there's demo on steam and I would love to see game here.

hex based warfare game in space, part of SSI's general five star series, really nice with different races, superduper sounds, a lot of weaponry with at least 5 hexes of range, extensive ship build list, the ability for destroyers to torpedorun battleships, all in all very nice

Eh, that's not my cup of tea, but it sounds like it's fun for some. :)

The a.i. did sometimes do wicked advanced stuff, The coders of these games already had a lot of experience with translating war games to the digital arena, in the first picture you see almost in the center of the screen a troop transport escorted by a ring of destroyers on a approach vector of a well defended world of mine, though the a.i. was not that advanced to understand that this move was a lost cause but, it does add to the immersia if you take into account the different species available and what you might expect from a warrior race ( lots of single ship combat ) or a hive mind where everything action is made in the survival of the hyve etc

but yea, this is certainly not everyone's cup of tea. I am still surprised that this game not made it into the gog account. Panzer General 1 2 and 3d pacific general and fantasy general all made it into their store...

Yup...I also hope for some old games to get on here some day(until then I can play them in "other ways" until GOG has them for sale, though).....like Shivers 2, Harbinger(scifi diablo like game), and others.

I liked Get Medieval as a kid. I wonder if we'll ever see it released on GOG.

I would also like these games to come here...that said, I somewhat doubt they will.
(Beyond rights issues, I believe the second game is possibly console exclusive)

On the necroing issue: if the bump is ontopic I think it's fine, and also think that people should maybe think about ignoring any threads they don't want to read......easy peasy lemon squeazy.

(Of course, I also think any threads older than 3 years that aren't being used should also be archived)
