Hello all! I'm setting up a new game of Mafia on the forum (I gather there's been a wee drought of games), and I'm trying to find some players. I'm looking to get 13 players in total.

The game will be Battlestar Galactica themed, and has some game-specific mechanics to suit the theme. Please let me know if you're interested. :)

I'm in... I think. Is the theme based on the original Battlestar Galactica (1978 series), or the later one?

I have had a very long sabbatical from Mafia, and I am now able (fingers crossed) to dive in again!

This is also a question I am interested in hearing the answer to - I have watched BSG back when I was a lot shorter, but I don't remember all that much of it :/

Mostly it's flavour. The miniseries that preceded the reboot series is excellent and will give you enough of a feel for the theme. Who the Cylons are is not based on events of the show, because I felt that would be bad for the game and also spoil things for people who haven't watched it. Knowledge of the characters may however help in guessing roles, but not hugely.

From a grave bearing only the text NOTFRENCHYET comes a weird green mist, and the faint smell of Nutella and chocolate digestive biscuits... We TRACK through the mist and come across a figure sitting cross-legged, playing a Nintendo 3DS. It has much shorter hair than when it was last seen in the GOG Mafia threads, and it has incidentally escaped the clutches of France and has a better-paid job in Belgium. The figure LOOKS UP.
