as more i look into this, the tweet replys and all the people with actually good arguments why gog shouldn't apologize to people (SJW) who just want to influence the majority with bullcrap, as more i see the overwhelming silent from gog. They where quike as soon they saw SJW boosting this manufactured happpening, but slow if not dead silence as soon it backfired.

The sad thing about all this outrage is that it'll make it even more difficult for gog to take its noisy customers seriously when they'll have to protest about something worthy (still at video-game scale, though, let's not get overboard), such as sudden compulsory profiles, intrusive client requirements, or whatever the future may or may not bring.

In fact, thinking that we really looked like this when we protested about the profiles makes it a miracle that they allowed us to disable them.

This has to be one of the worst PR-stunts I've ever seen:
- talking about pro-gamergaters as an "abusive movement" on twitter
- talking about pro-gamergaters as a "wave of hate and abuse" on reddit
- going to Resetera of all places and posting an explanation there, while giving their own customers on the gog-forum the silent treatment.

I mean, GOGs PR seems completely oblivious of the whole gamergate-stuff. I didn't care about it for a long time too, but as a PR-person you should be sensitive about the topic; it's literally your job.

I don't usually post here 'cause English isn't my native language and despite I can understand it, I can't shape my thoughts into foreign language well enough. I learned it mostly by myself, so, my grammar sucks, sorry.

But I was really dissapointed by the fact how GOG hadled this situation and I feel like I should say something about it. The Witcher is one of my favorite series of all times and CD Projekt Red is my favorite developer/publisher. I've always seen you as an example to other companies. But this is the first (and, I really hope, the last) time when your actions is failed to meet my expectation.

The hateful reaction on your tweet was just... well... it was disgusting. It was the clear representation of what is wrong with this industry. I guess I can call myself a game journalist of some sort too since I am translating news on a daily basis and wrote a few rewievs and other materials for our group in social network... but I don't want to have anythyng common with those "collegues" of mine at VG24/7. I don't think they even correspond to term a "journalist". And ResetEra... honestly, sometimes it can be useful source of information for those who work at game journalism, but their administration act like fascists. You should never apologise to such kind of people, and you shoud never turn you back to people who supported you all the way.

What I'd like to know is, why are the people on that other forum worthy of an apology, while the members here obviously aren't.

I guess that means that the GOG staff prefers THOSE customers, to the customers that frequent THESE forums.
