Hey all, any GBC experts out there?

Having a strange issue with GBC and Pool of Radiance.

Initially, I had to extend the address range out to $FF00000 before it would draw out the HUD. Now however, it seems to initially only update the map on the side (I can move the green triangle and it updates the map locations). The normal game window is frozen however, and eventually the game becomes unresponsive.

I have GOG as well as GBC running in admin mode.
The readme mentions you need plain vanilla .074 DOSbox, however GOG downloads 0.74-2. I’ve tried it with both versions.

I also emailed the developer these same questions, but I figured I would cast a wider net as to not just pester him.

Any suggestions you guys could offer would be most appreciated.
