Heading to "free in RU, UA, regUZ"?

Not really. If anything, it's gotten more expensive in those regions (relatively speaking, of course): before, the regional discount was 63.16%, whereas now it is "only" 62.12%... :P

Perhaps it's a bug that will be fixed?

Discount percentages don't usually mean (much) - it now costs half as much it did before...

Nah... I'm sure it's related to the USD/RUB exchange rate and how marketing people love prices ending in 9. :P

Well, this has a simple fix, and doesn't give them a worse discount - they can always round it down to $1.79.

On a more serious note - I don't think that any of this has anything to do with setting the current price of Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages in RU, UA, regUZ. Notice how the previous price did not end in 9.
It appears to be as simple as "base price got cut to half, the same cut applies to the regional price of RU, UA, regUZ".

I was referring to the price in rubles. I bet both the equivalent of $3.68 and $1.89 end in '9' in that currency. But be as it may, the fact is that $1.89 is not one half of $3.68 (that would be $1.84). That's why the new price is relatively more expensive than the old one.

No kidding. Different pricing for 2 cents on DA:O and Dead Space and three price points covering 3 cents on SC3k.

Good news! 16 year old games (SimCity 3000) are regionally priced now (with higher price points than the base price).

Hm, holidays in Russia become more and more interesting! :-D

Good news™ doesn't even begin to describe the mess today's EA releases are price-wise.
