Did you install through Galaxy or offline installer?
It sounds like you installed it with an offline installer and are running Galaxy separately?
You can download the offline installers through Galaxy I believe but they still shouldn't be able to connect to galaxy at all.
(I'm guessing multiplayer requires galaxy since that is usually the case.)
Actually it looks like that's a server related error so forget everything I just said.

and i get an error saying like the game cant join that server i am trying
to join but everything works just fine.
I have GOG Galaxy on in the background i might add.
