I don't know how the 'front page' marketing on GOG works. Is it possible that publishers have to pay extra for the front-page visibility? Perhaps in this case the publisher didn't want to cough up the cash?

Hikage_XjS: What? You do not think Croc (coming soon™) is a more important addition to the top of the page and carousel than an ACTUAL DAY 1 RELEASE of the new entry of a well beloved series? /s
GOG might think of Croc as more important as the remastered version is (currently) a GOG exclusive, though they've been hard pressed to mention that too.

You are actually correct. I almost forgot that little fact myself. So i took a quick peek at their socials and true enough, no mention of exclusivity there either.

But that does not negate the core issue this thread has presented.

Also worth mentioning is that Ys X got a proper, individual post there.

It's just the current state of things here at GOG. We have the news feed on the bottom (totally nonsensical), these game launches buried in typical sales promos that nobody wants to be involved with (same sales every month and season with same games), delisted games being mentioned in regular non-stickied threads, lackluster customer support sprinkled with lies and mistruths to try to CYA, etc, etc, etc.

The only thing GOG has going is DRM-free....but even that is not true for some games here as well. (crackpot show (cough cough).

I'll definitely keep buying....but it's not because of their charm or competence. I mean...Madmind Studios even gets their own notice for their crappy titles. lol
