Wonderful. I love those rightwing nuts in america.

Right wing nuts are a handy thing to have around.
"How can something be catastrophic when there aren't any people around to feel the catastrophe"

mind blown.

When I lived in the middle-of-nowhere Upstate New York, I would listen to Rush b/c, yeah, options. Typically I would find myself laughing or raging. He's definitely someone you need to listen to with at least one other person, so when you hear things, like the quotation above, you can turn your head to your friend and ask if you just heard correctly.

Lewis Black explained the above best.
Goodness I hate how smug his voice sounds :P
What was wrong with any of that?

Are you saying that you know what the unknown catastrophe was that disappeared the mile-deep water on Mars?

Can you tell the rest of us plz?

You just answered yourself. :P
He is saying there is no catastrophe, not that we don't know what kind of catastrophe.

It's akin to saying "If no one was around to hear the tree fall, it in fact didn't make any noise." XD

Stop. That makes my head hurt, almost as bad as the sound of one hand clapping...
Yep.

What? Did you listen to any of what he said? NASA says an unknown catastrophe happened, meaning we don't know, much like we don't know exactly what catastrophe happened to kill off the dinosaurs. Rush isn't discussing that we know what the catastrophe was, but that mars had a huge climate change. That's what his panties are in a bunch about. Especailly b/c the left really harps on global climate change, while the right deny it. He's making NASA's statement about a mars climate changes, however many, many, many years ago it happened, sound like it's a left-liberal twist for their own agendas here on earth.

Second, he down plays the levels of what climate change is. Yes of course there is climate change all the time, derp, we have thunderstorms and seasons etc. He's comparing apples to grenades. Microchanges (when looked at globably) to world wide macro-ones, like have happened with previous ice ages.

Further, he doesn't like it that NASA isn't widely speculating what exactly happened for the "unknown catastrophic event". B/c science deals with facts and educated hypothesis, not just shouting the first thing that comes to mind (at least that's what should be happening).

And now for some articles!!!

I once lived in an apartment building that had a concierge, which is a fancy description for a guard at a desk. The poor fella on the night shift-- we'll call him Marvin; he was a friend of mine-- he would listen to Rush through the wee hours. And Marvin, he would get so worked up just listening to him talk. Then some resident would enter and Marvin would rail at them, shouting and yelling, for some imagined political preference. I used to bring Marvin food and sit and chat with him after work. Didn't stop him yelling at my wife once, though. Happily enough, my wife and I just found it funny.

Then there was another guard who would take his pants off because it was "more comfortable". He was typically sitting behind a desk, and figured people wouldn't see. He had a big knife strapped to his leg and would hit on residents while he showed it to them.

Then there was another guard who was fired for barking at a resident. He wasn't just a guard, he managed all the guards. One morning, a female resident brought him a complaint, and the dude just started barking at the lady. Right in her face. Loud. ARF WOOF ARF BARK RUFF RUFF GROWL etc. Wouldn't speak any words, just barked in her face til she left.

I should move back there.
He's an idiot. And a puppet for right wing hatred at that.
Fortunately his credibility to anyone who actually matters is gone. Hello getting fucked up on "legal" drugs.
@crewdroog

Don`t get angry pal. Wether he is a troll or a right wing nugget, I mean chips, dammit I meant to say nuts. Now I`m hungry.

But discussing mars: one thing I do know why mars has almost no atmosphere and no surface water is the fact that mars inner core has been cooling down rapidly for some reason and therefore the planet lost most of its magnetic shield, that protected its atmosphere from sunwinds.

Oh and btw I love Lewis Black, he is awesome :D

Crewdroog: NASA says an unknown catastrophe happened, meaning we don't know,
Oh.

Then how do we know a catastrophe happened?
Yes, climate change IS propaganda from the liberals in order to push their agenda, just like evolution, gravity, and anything else sciencey.

PS - Lewis Black!!!
