Ancient-Red-Dragon: No it's not. I could think of a situation where it is not always legal for the code redeemer to redeem a GOG code.
For example, say the code redeemer hacked someone's else's GOG account after the owner of the account had purchased a gift code, but before the time when the account owner had distributed that gift code to its intended recipient, and then the hacker redeemed that gift code on a GOG account that they created.
That would be an example of an illegal redemption of a GOG code.
thats an extreme case but its still legal since no money or credit card was used and Gog allowed it. For example, say the code redeemer hacked someone's else's GOG account after the owner of the account had purchased a gift code, but before the time when the account owner had distributed that gift code to its intended recipient, and then the hacker redeemed that gift code on a GOG account that they created.
That would be an example of an illegal redemption of a GOG code.
i'll give you a more likely example;
user 1 lives in a country that bans a certain game, lets say Australia and GirlsXXX
gog sends this user an email with a code to buy this game 10% off
user 1 says ok [actually pays money] and gets the game added to their account... two laws have now been brocken but its Gog that allowed this and user 1 has NOT done anything illegal
