While wanting to bring up recent news and reports that are... less serious, I've come across the first nobrainer news entry that might make people laugh :)

If I find more, I'll post them here. By all means, anyone else that finds similar reports, linking them below is encouraged.

Do you really need two different discussions for posting Alex Jones' Infowars?
Apparently you can also charge it if you wind a copper coil around it and put it in the microwave.

Also, this is relevant.

Do we need multiple threads where one specializes in troubleshooting problems related to Mac, for PC, and Linux?

These are wholly unrelated. Although I did find the news article via drudge report, this is hardly Infowars material (at least I think so), and more trolls and fake videos that are put up on Youtube. I recall watching a video explaining how to get 5x more speed from your ethernet connections, but halfway through the video I realized it was crap because the way it couldn't possibly work because of the approach. Then I realized the whole video was a troll because the description said it was a joke, and I got rick-rolled :P This is sorta that again, except you wonder how people can be this stupid.

Then again... Rinkworks and computer stupidities has tons of this type of behavior. One of them where a Guy trimmed a N64 cartridge down to fit in a floppy drive, then couldn't get the game to work on his laptop, then tried to get a refund. That didn't go well.

Still more serious than the news you usually bring.
A few days ago where I live some people took a little 16 foot boat out on Lake Superior.

Of course now they are missing.

Am I supposed to feel bad for people this stupid? :P It's kind of like mourning someone who was killed played Russian Roulette. I mean sure, you feel bad for the families, but it only serves to help the gene pool.

People have crossed oceans in smaller boats than 16'. I think it has to do more with skill than the size of the boat. After all, size didn't save the Edmund Fitzgerald...

The only people that ever say that are the ones who have a small one.
Does anyone really believes the news about people drilling into their iPhones?

That's my point. An 800 freighter goes down and these idiots think they'll be safe in a canoe. :P

If people will use their cd-rom tray as a cup colder, and will bolt their computers to their desk (or in the army's case, bolting computers securely to inside a shipping container) then yes, I believe there are people this stupid.

Actually I've had the personal experience of someone's computer where the pulled the heatsink AND cpu right off the motherboard before using canned air to clean their machine out, then pushed it back on improperly with all the pins bent out of shape...
I know the world is big and there are lots of idiots, but I swear I've never met one that stupid.
