What? Don't you always look at yourself in the mirror before playing a game? Apparently GOG thinks so about it's customers. Either that, or GOG wants to encourage it's customers to simply appreciate what they bought rather than download their purchases (less load on their servers).
Who buys a game to download it? Why would anyone visit the GOG website for any other reason than to participate in "activities" for the
Activity Feed? That's why that link is more sensible than
the Account page for the account name in the top menu.
At least, that's what I keep trying to remember to tell myself so I'll remember why it is now the way it is now. It was not my intent to spend money to only chat on a game forum rather than download my purchases. Nevermind whether that would describe my experiences with the GOG website in the slightest. What matters is my intent of making use of my purchases, not my denial.
I'd appreciate that link be reverted back to the link to my games library so I can more readily download my purchases rather than just admire a list of them, nor get a 404 error since I chose to disable that useless past reflection of forgettable activity and profile. I make my own notes of what's worthwhile to me, and so a lot more useful that automated recording and temperature readouts.
