edit: redeemed

These Amerzone codes were donations to the Community Giveaway but since they expire in 7 hours, I've decided to list them here so that they don't go to waste. They are slightly obfuscated but shouldn't be too much trouble to solve.

Since you were able to use the code for Thief Gold that I posted and have not seen any alerts that the code has been used by someone else before, the fact that the game has not yet appeared in your games library only means that there is a lot of interest in the game, making it appear in your account late, and that's about it.

I 'm not sure what is the cause but some games codes can be activated multiple times but will never appear in the game library this has happen with me a couple of times ( it even says:
"Code redeemed successfully!
Great news! You’ve successfully added 1 item to your GOG account.

⚠️ Due to high demand, your game might take a little longer to appear in your Owned Games section, but don’t worry — it’ll be there shortly!
" but after days and even truly activating other games they still don't show in game library nor on Order History) so unless it shows on library or Order History at least in about 1h, consider that it must been activated by other account I think...
Happens a lot with prime keys when new game keys have been issued. Generally, everything in this thread that isn't some esoteric nieche store like Xbox or MS in general is "gone in 60 seconds" (more like 6 seconds, actually).

Just weird that it gives a false positive instead of just saying that the code is been redeemed by someone else...

Probably true; the GOG system is severely broken under heavy load. I've seen the following happening in the cases where you'll have to wait many hours:

1) While it hasn't appeared yet, you can "redeem" the same code over and over again, each time GOG will say: "success".
2) If you redeem really quickly 2 times in a row, GOG will say that YOU already did so instead.
3) During the "overload period", it doesn't matter from which acccount you "redeem", the messages will always be the same as above.
4) The first "redeem action" will actually "win" in the end.

The above 4 points are my assumptions derived from the following observations:
A) Trying "ninja" codes, I've seen the behaviour from points 1) and 2) mentioned above, but many hours later the message changed to the "true state" that somebody else had redeemed the code.
B) Trying codes I've received "exclusively" (so nobody else could redeem them meanwhile), I also got the messages from points 1) and 2) above, and many hours later, the game actually appeared in my list.

Well, proper error checking and reporting meaningful diagnosis info was a thing up until the early 2000s. Now it's all about looking good, no matter the impact, so error messages are a no-go, and unknown cases (meaning cases that were not in the original task description) just get the default response. Prime keys seem to go through an extra server beacuse this sort of thing never seems to happen with GOG-issued keys.

Thanks I forgot bout the extra server, yup the extra server must holds the requests causing the delay in proper processing

the longest that a working key took to register with me was about 20 mins but I always expect 1h delay
what I'm not sure is if there is a delay for showing in order history that could help in identifying if the game activated or not

Happened to me too, and the games never has been added to my account, even after days.

Last week 2 games took almost 20 hours to appear in my account. But at least they did appear. :)
