There use to be a "bling-bling" sound when unlocking an achievement, but seems no longer the case for me, on no! :O

Anyone one know the reason ? Are there any settings for it somewhere ? I can't seems to find anywhere.

Thanks in advance!

I did not know that Galaxy informs during the game that we got an achievement. I always know when I leave it and see the list of completed achievements.

Yeah, it got a popup (similar to steam) when you unlock one, and it used to have a sound that comes up with it. Unless i'm going totally insane here. O.o

No sound for me either.
Sound more like an fix than a bug because it is fucking annoying when the NPC tells you "and now for the most important part: Do <BLING - SPOKE ABOUT THE MOST IMPORTANT PART UNLOCKED!>, ever! And I won't repeat myself!" with the noise silencing the NPC and the achievement sign overlapping the textbubble (a bit over-exaggerated, but I do remember that crap ripping my attention from games a few times like its an surprise attack). I do hope the option to turn it off comes with it when it reeks it ugly head again.

pre-emptive edit:
Yeah, I know that they can be turned off completely

I remember that the achievements notification sounded a lot like one of windows' notification. Which had me searching around to find out what just happened.
I've had mixed results in recent months.

Sometimes I get the sound and the in-game pop-up notification message at the same time (as it should be).

Sometimes I get the sound only, but not the pop-up notification.

Sometimes I get the pop-up notification only, but not the sound.

Sometimes I get neither the pop-up notification nor the sound, but the Achievement has been recorded anyway when I check my Galaxy client out-of-game.

I'm not sure what's up with all that, but I wish I would get the sound and the pop-up notification every time.

That;s weird!

In my case it's either they popup with sound, or simply don't work. But since 2-3 days ago, they popup without the sound every time.

And since there was a galaxy update about a week ago, I'm starting to think that they may have "fixed" it. As in removed the sound. :(

I also do not get sound anymore. I scoured the options to see if there was a new "on/off toggle" with no avail.
