I just installed on Win 10 pro. Everybody is running so fast, you have no idea what they are doing.

How do you slow down the speed on this game so you can enjoy it?

Thank you

Update: I did find the "speed" button in the game and changed it. I also allowed the computer to change the compatibility mode to Service Pack 3. Tried the game again this morning and it is freezing up on me. Not sure what to do. I was hoping to play this game. I had it years ago and remember I enjoyed it. Is there a "patch" that will help, or something more I need to do?

2nd Update: I am going to try to uninstall and re-install. If it does not work, I will get a refund and try a different game. :-(

3rd and final update: I reinstalled it to the default directory and all seems to be working well. I have played for a while earlier today and all seems to be fixed. Hopefully it will stay that way!

Thank you all for your suggestions.

There is an in game setting to lower the game speed.

Edit: Here is a youtube clip.

If the mentioned options change doesn't help, it might be that the game is running on a too high framerate (usually above 60). In old games, that frequently shows by the game being sped up.

That's a very interesting observation. I don't even know how you would limit the fps. I guess there must be some sort of an application, but the easiest solution seems to be to force vsync form the graphic's card drivers.

Thanks idbeholdME, I might actually have to use this if I ever run into this issue.

Yeah, either forcing VSync or buying a G-Sync monitor. You can lock those to any supported refresh rate you want. I have a 165 Hz G-Sync display but often lock it to 60 with older games to prevent the slew of issues that comes from old games running at insane framerates. VSync is usually enough but it adds input lag, which is quite noticeable.

I did finally find that "speed" button and change it, which helped. I also found that the game "freezes" on me in the middle of playing. I had the computer explore options for me and it seemed to think that changing the compatibility settings to Service Pack 3 may help. Not sure yet as I haven't had time to play yet today.

Thank you for all your suggestions.

Edited to add: I have checked the game now and it still freezes up after a few minutes of playing. Not sure what to do at this point.

Any other suggestions?
