HypersomniacLive: I'm pretty sure this is by design, and not a bug.
I think it's a dumb oversight. The whole profile thing feels rushed and not thought out to me.
You know what would be a good idea? To add a Gog buyer verification for people who choose to display their game reviews on their profile. And of course it would be helpful to include such a feature on the actual reviews on the game pages and perhaps an ability to prioritise buyer verified reviews.

Also on a side note I will say that initially I had strong doubts about this new system, but first, lets at least give them credit for trying. Secondly, there could be advantages to it. The forums here have long suffered from bullies, trolls and poor moderation. This has been the result of a very tiny number of miscreants who have for too long dominated the Gog forums, sometimes even with the encouragement of certain Gog personnel, ruining the experience for many Gog clientele. Ultimately bullying and harassing them off the forums.

Some of these bullies whom, oddly enough, have been among the most vocal opponents of the new Gog Profiles. Why is this so? Whatever your opinion of the new profile system, why are some of the most notorious bullies and trolls here included among the most virulent opposition to Gog's new experiment? Perhaps there are some clinical psychologist here that would be best positioned to explain that to the rest of us.

So, good old GOG then, eh?

I hope you're right, but I don't hold my hopes high.
Almost everything above has been added. I've simplified some stuff though to conserve space. Would appreciate if you could post clear straight forward suggestions and when reporting bugs. No more than a sentence or two so it's easy to add. Thanks.

Suggestion: Ability to edit and format activity feed post and share (or pm) a screenshot with chosen person.
(also a search field would be a helpful addition to the game tab)

sorry for spamming and thank you for the place I can do that ; )

If I may add to the buyer verification for reviews feature I suggested above. When you click on read more on the profile page the link takes you to the game page but it doesn't open on the actual review you're reading. So you then have to search through the reviews to find what you were reading and then find where you left off. Definately need to fix that. Also it would be a good idea if the reviews on profiles could be seperate from the general feed.

Reading throught the suggestions here a major factor seemes to be the need to further integrate the profile page with the rest of the site.
So, trying to be positive about this situation and see what I did like/want from Profiles... and I discover we can't seem to set a custom background/wallpaper? Is that not possible? If so, I'd like to see that on the feature list.

Also, do all games not have a wallpaper choice? For example, there's no Fallout (original) or any of the Sierra adventures that I could find. Did I just miss them? Considering those were the first games on GOG, that's a huge omission if they're not there.
Just confirming text overflow problem.

I do like in-game achievements, but I disagree with this; you shouldn't be forced to be a completionist to get more privilege on something you already own.

How about being able to choose from the wallpapers available in the 'goodies' section?
100% achievement completion could unlock special wallpapers for the game you completed. [Suggested by Alexim]

mqstout: Oh god no, why would someone want that??!?!?!!?! Burn in fire. (But yes to the holiday ones.)
^Also this.
Type: Bug / Issue
Description: The default settings are 'visible' and 'GOG friends'. They should be 'only me'.

Type: Suggestion
Description: Add an option to de-activate profiles completely for those who don't want them.
Type: Bug / Issue

Description: Not sure if bug or something to do with extensions/settings/etc, though I know one other Pale Moon user with the same issue. Activity Feed simply doesn't load. Is fine in Galaxy, but not in browser.

Pale Moon Version: 27.9.0 (32-bit) (up to date).

I have decided I'm not going to play gatekeeper to suggestions. If someone has a suggestion and it is pretty reasonable, I will add it. It will be up to GOG to determine what should be added (if anything like always). I feel that is the most fair way to handle this.
