Over 70+ employees in Blizzard were trash. Just imagine how many fly under the radar in places like steam, gog and game journalist companies, where there could be 1-5. These were kept on for a decade without anything done about them.

And they're trying to unionise before they get caught to have more leverage.

Think people like that aussie Timboli here widely promoting the blacklist idea to gog staff against whistleblowers/good people like me.

I guess you must feel particularly impacted by the fact that it's Blizzard, because its quite common for toxic personality types to deeply embed themselves in a social group, be it corporate or other.

Not saying its right, but its not exactly surprising news that a sizable corporation would have some bad apples in its midst.

Anyone who worked for at least a couple of sizable companies will have tales to tell you.

I tend to dislike working in overly large corporations for precisely that reason. The more people you deal with, the likelier it is that you'll encounter toxic types and drama. It takes only one of those to ruin an otherwise fine work day.

There are indeed too many woke people in both gaming dev and gamez jurnalism.
Or it's entirely possible that these huge global corporations use their clout to fabricate bad press to justify firing a bunch of employees so simps can cheer on literal worker bees getting the axe.

If you want to say gog sucks, that's fine, but trying to use corporate overlords as your framing is pretty dumb.

Gog rejected The Warlock of Firetop Mountain several times, that's why they're bad.

Well, what do you expect? After all it's not Big Titted Sorceress of RPG Maker Mountain.

It’s available DRM-free (offline installer provided) from Humble Bundle: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain.

I think the base price they are asking for it is too high, but I bought it during a sale a couple years ago for less than 10€ so I guess it is still available at this price from time to time.

It's both. Top management's (and HR) more often than not got plenty of absolute scumbags among few genuinely enthusiastic people that brought the company to success, and when time comes to jettison some employees they try to sacrifice innocent in their stead and hire some of their cronies or even more scummy diversity trash. The latter is unilaterally bad as a practice, the employees should be chosen and kept for skill, effort and enthusiasm, not their birth, mental or sexual deviancy, but nowadays it gets to the point of absurdity even in the fucked up logic of latter, when a talented african artist, spaniard writer or asian coder gets fired and some worthless jewish or anglo SJW takes their place.

Activision Blizzard is particularly guilty of throwing good creators out, by this point they gave the boot to or pressured to leave "on their own volition" almost every person that made IP they own great. That said, their latest action was more dropping the ballast than getting rid of someone good, though their decisions otherwise (rampant, idiotic censorship for the pandering sake and cracking down hard on whistleblowers while trying to keep it under wraps as much as they can) imply it's less because they're wisened up, and more because there isn't much good left there to begin with.

It wouldn't be the first or last time news about toxic environments in game companies pop up. It's unlikely that anything meaningful is done about it, especially if people at the top are part of the problem.

quote from the article you post:
"we wouldn't be surprised if those disciplined included victims of harassment that reached out to authorities, too..."

Don't forget other massive live scandals way above:
-Cath. Shurch abuse cases (That one with headquartes in the V country, leaded by the P)
-USA Gymnastics (which by the way includes that Bureau Fox Mulder used to work for...)

What worries me the most Justice is close to non-existant... lots of corruption, influence peddling...

So yeah, life can be as crazy as it is amazingly awesome...

Folks, stay safe & health.

Yes, there are quite a few choose your own adventure games on humble. Tinmangaming. It’s one of the only things I would recommend getting for humble as not available elsewhere.

how do you manage to define yourself as either?
Edit: genuine question relating to your original premise and the resultant quality of the thread.
- posting 'dog whistles' does not count as 'whistleblowing', and you have repeatedly shown yourself to be of terrible character.

I'm not going to reply to trollposts@Sachys. I'll just repeat the thing about there being MORE THAN SEVENTY bad emloyees in a big corporation with all the "standards" and "best business practices" being promoted in the academic community.

70+ in one company.

This is low quality bait. You're better than this. Go home, Crevurre, you're drunk.

Again not replying to a trollpost@"paladin181". 70 is a huge amount of misconduct in one place. Just imagine.

Can everyone else report #12 and #14. The mods don't listen to me, they're on the side of their gatekeeping friends.
