I requested for a refund because Cyberpunk was very laggy on my pc and it's not worth the starvation I am about to go through just so I can play this game on my potato pc. I requested for a refund specifically to my bank and not my gog wallet and they sent me an email ( not automated, like a real employee sent that email ) again I reminded them that I need the money to my bank and not my wallet yet they refunded it to my wallet and close the ticket. HELP ME OUT HERE. It's 5 days worth of food and gas money.

Unbelievable!

Perhaps next time maybe don't buy CP2077 if you need the money to eat, eh?

RFDenial: HELP ME OUT HERE.
Open a support ticket. A staff member may notice your thread, but don't count on it.

Your profile shows the game was launched via GOG Galaxy 3 days ago, but playtime wasn't tracked. I wouldn't be surprised if this was interpreted as a possible attempt to abuse the refund system. They issue GOG wallet funds when refund requests look questionable (and they don't reject them outright).

One should never buy any videos games on any platform when they have vital things for which they need that same money instead.
The Usual Suspect(s)... nice movie. :-)
- Requested refund after installing & launching it, landing it firmly in the realm of GOG's voluntary refund policy.
- Flat out refused to troubleshoot the problem with GOG support staff

Be honest: if you were GOG staff, would you have reservations about giving a full refund to a person who isn't interested in engaging with staff when asked to?

Maybe you should eat your potato, instead of trying to play high-end games on it?

Also: I can't help but wonder, if your nick was chosen because you planned on getting a refund?

I mean: RFDenial? Like ReFund Denial?

Zero sympathy for people who are not able to read/understand minimum/maximum requirements of games, and who also don't understand that video games are a luxury.
And if you can't afford luxury items...maybe you shouldn't spend your last money on them.
I find it hard to believe that a support rep would do something against the explicit wishes of a customer. Could we possibly see all the messages?

Support ticket seems to be in the name of "areplays". So, he's changed his name afterwards (assuming this isn't a sock-puppet account).

However, I agree this just doesn't add up. OP has a profile that only bought CP2077 - a notoriously system hungry game - and is now surprised it doesn't perform well, while providing no system specs of his own or engaging with support at all. It's not surprising that GoG don't want to send money back to a new account or in this type of circumstance. And I'm sorry, but someone who is that impoverished that dropping $30 on a video game is apparently going to cause them to go without food or petrol has their priorities wrong if they try to buy cyberpunk.
Your logic is questionable at best.
I can respect that you would be willing to starve if Cyberpunk was running good.

Yeah, I've noticed that, too.

However, as you have also noted:
the whole story smells fishy and looks to me like his brilliant plan has been thwarted: (buy game, refund game, get money back to bank account, keep the game and spend the money again wherever and for whatever, but definitely not for games here on GOG).

If I were GOG, I would also exclusively refund on the GOG wallet.
And I would keep a very keen eye on anyone who uses the refund system (what kind of games, how often, etc).

The offering of refunds for DRM-free games is build on the honor system...and lots of people don't even know what that word means, much less act upon it.

You can't say this to people. They'll call you elitist. I was recently called elitist for telling people that they should save their money if they can't afford videogames or anything else that they want right away.

Well, I guess, we both know that thinking this way doesn't make one an elitist - but a realist.
Could be possible credit card fraud alright. Use a stolen cc to buy an expensive game and then refund it to a bank account. Nope, not suspicious at all especially since areplays/RFDenial has a new gog account, a potato PC and needs the money for food and gas
