Andrzejef: Not the first time there would be a discrepancy between steam and gog version numbering too.

IronArcturus: Has anyone played the GOG version of Mech Engineer to verify that it's up-to-date?
I should have time to play it tonight. I'll try to update this thread about it.

Tarhiel: Why would they publish outdated version? I am pretty much sure those two patches are included.

Looking directly on Steam in the update history the 1.0 version was released on March and there was only one update since then in June but there is no version listed for the update in June. Maybe it was only a hotfix and the version is still 1.0.
I don't really know what all the updates listed on steamdb are about but at the first glance they seem to me that they are only Steam related stuff like positioning the logo in the Steam client and such things. Nothing what really matters for the GOG version.

Tarhiel: Looks graphically plain, but gameplay-wise complex and for an affordable price + MicroProse published it? They are still around?
Instabuy then.
Thats the whole point... it is a minimalistic design, just focusing on the things that truly counts. The opposite of "Black Myth Wukong".

Same for your PC of course. Guess some GPU is required but you can chose the one you enjoy. Some space is needed too but any size is OK as long as higher than zero...

However, the graphic is more complex than it seems, it is "particle art" instead of pixel art, some refreshing new direction.

dnovraD: Neat, it's like someone attached the Mechlab to a strategy game.
Heavy Gear (and sometimes Mechwarrior) always did this

Yes, they try to be edgy with the release notes. but they are unreadable.
Without version number they are useless..
Mech Engineer is appealing, but, after reading comments made by the developer, there is little hope of a native Linux release of this game. Hopefully, in time, this is corrected, as it possesses a certain 'mystique', due to the interface and graphics (which are just detailed enough as to allow for the imagination to fill in the remaining portions).
This looks quite fun actually.
I've been playing Mech Engineer and it's pretty cool!

But I've noticed that it's not installing the right icon on the desktop. The icon appears to be blank with no detail. Also, it's not saving the fullscreen resolution for some reason.
