This wonderful actor passed away back in August 21, 2024, but his death wasn't reported until yesterday (October 1).

I don't know if he had any roles in the gaming industry as a voice actor or in any other capacity. But I watched many TV shows (I think one such was a comedy called Good Times{?} I'm bad recalling some names lol) and movies where he was part of the cast, often the main cast.

Though one of my classic favorites was The Beastmaster (1982), with him, Marc Singer and Tanya Roberts. I still re-watch the movie every so often, as it gives such nostalgic feelings of the 80s and 90s for me.

He was one of those actors that left a strong inpression in you when you watched them on the screen.

I'm glad he got to live a full life, he died at age 84. RIP John Amos.

Him, James Earl Jones, that one charmed actress...so much talent. Yeah, I liked him on Good Times. Oh well, at least he doesn't have to deal with JJ yelling "dy-no-miiiite!" anymore :)

Thank you remindiing me of James Earl Jones. I can't imagine anyone could ever forget his amazing voice. It's one of the most memorable voices that's I've ever heard on the screen.

You also reminded me of the passing of Tina Turner (which happen not too long ago I believe), such a wonderful singer and I loved her acting in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome. OMG, that brings back such nostalgic memories too haha. I'm gonna start chocking up if I keep remembering all this stuff. =P

I just realized that all of these actors were part of classics that will likely be remembered for a long time to come.

John Amos will always be with us. That scene on the movie Lock up where he smiles is pure gold.
