I thought it would be fun if we all shared the oldest known picture of ourselves playing videogames.

I'll get the ball rolling with a picture of me playing a Tandy 1000EX from around 1987/1988.

* I'm not sure what I'm playing in the picture, but there's a good chance it's either King's Quest or Space Quest.

It's not really a picture because we didn't have cameras.

Dude, it's a Dell!
There are no pictures of young me gaming. Gaming is a shameful activity that was done on the computer tucked away from sight in the corner, and nobody would want to waste film on that!

This was sadly the truth. You kept very quiet about such a hobby.

Interesting ... I didn't realize what a pack of nerds our family must have been, because we have several pictures of me and my brothers playing video games. I still remember my dad playing the original Star Fox when it first came out, and he would always shift his entire body left and right whenever he made a turn in the ship. Good times.

Actually, I just realised that there is one! Was not at my house, because console gaming was several steps below shameful compared to PC gaming in my household ("At least you can do useful things with the PC!"), but the game in question is Contra, so I think I make up in terms of hardcoreness.

That's an epic game to be playing at that age ... props to you my friend.

picture is showing me in the last circle, winning my first battle royale game ever (or as we called it "marple royale").

Picture's not showing up. I suggest turning it into a smaller JPG because GOG is picky with image sizes.

picture is obviously "fake", but i did play as a kid regulary marples on the street with other kids. there was beside loosing or winning special marples, also trading. i actually treasure some marples from those days in a showcase. But as one can clearly say: street kids invented battle royale. nowadays i do not see kids play like this nor on the street. A couple of years ago i tried once for shooting marples like i used to - wasn´t able for. Hands too big, technique was gone ages before. But i do have awesome memories - so i would say i am no replicant. ;-)

Playing Cymbergaj [fon. Tzyhmbehrgai (?)] - Coin Football, a game from my childhood.

Pic is not mine, but related to this game:

Also I played with siblings by opening a drawer with thin bottom, enough thin for magnets, and we used these magnets to control our coins. It was a lot of fun.
