Researching getting a mini PC, as well as a few other things, and I have made a few observations, some of which are a bit confusing:

* For AMD APUs, in terms of power we seem to have G > H > U. (For example, 5600G > 5600H > 5600U.) Note that thi9s comparison also applies to power consumption.
* The 5600H is an APU, but it seems the only computers that have it but don't also have a separate discrete GPU are mini PCs; the laptops with the chip have discrete GPUs and cost over $1,000.
* The 5600U is Zen 3, and the 5700G is Zen 3, but the 5700U is Zen 2? (Apparently, AMD is revising their naming scheme for the next generation to avoid this confusion.)
* Apple does not seem to offer a conventional desktop. You can get a laptop (MacBook), an All-in-One (iMac), and even a mini PC (Mac Mini), but no conventional desktop tower. (I did find some mention of such a desktop tower, but it had Intel chips rather than Apple Silicon (so it may be a bit old), and it cost over $5,000, which is expensive enough that it's only reasonable for specialized uses that need the power, and not for typical consumers.)

Any thoughts or other (possibly confusing) observations about computer hardware?
