Does anyone know how to fix the resolution of the fmvs? like the intro cutscene
i can get the game to run in 1080 but the fmvs play at like 600, any help would be appreciated

If the game specifically switches to a lower resolution for movies there are only 2 things you can do:

1) Look for a patch (official or unofficial) that changes the code so that the game doesn't do that or ...

2) ... force a resolution through your GPU control panel. For details check here.

I don't remember Soul Reaver 1 or 2 doing any sort of resolution switch when playing cutscenes...

Edit: I stand corrected - it switches to 640 x 480 when playing any sort of video. AFAIK there's no way out of this, since that is the native resolution they were recorded in and there's no upscale on playback.

You could try option 2) from what Geralt_of_Rivia suggested. I don't know of a patch to prevent this behavior, so that's off the table.

You must have done something wrong.

I just checked and getting full screen video in 1920x1080 works as expected with method 2.

In Theory if the game is useable under DGVoodoo2 you could force your desired resolution into the app, tweak some things and the game and the FMVs themselves should run in the desired resolution overriding the ingame selected resolution, even the movies.

But honestly I am not sure if it is possible in Soul Reaver 2
