Imagine this: it's the early 1990s and autumn has just started. It’s Friday and your last class is about to end. Your parents are out of town, and they left you with some extra pocket money to buy yourself food that will last until the end of the weekend. Little did they know that after school you’re gonna go straight to the new amusement arcade and spend all that money there. But that’s understandable - there’s something about that place that makes you feel detached from the problems of real life while getting lost in the sea of fun.

Hits a nostalgic spot, doesn’t it? Well, we’ve prepared a Special Sale with Arcade Classics up to 80% off that will try to bring some of that magic back! And what can you expect within the Sale?

Legendary 2D shooting platformer series Metal Slug - 50% off. The most iconic entries in the most iconic fighting game series Mortal Kombat up to 75% off. Ultimate PC pinball collection in the true-to-life 1990's pinball style in the form of Epic Pinball: The Complete Collection with 80% discount. Iconic cross between Super Mario Kart and Street Fighter? Of course - Street Racer is 60% off. And if scrolling shooter with sci-fi setting is more your thing, then play Slordax: The Unknown Enemy with a 35% discount!

That and many more awaits you in our Special Sale. Rekindle the nostalgia and get them now! Offer lasts until October 25th, 10 PM UTC.

I tend to agree.
Nothing beats a clear list, with a strict separation between owned/non-owned games...though I will say, the new pages offer one nice (for me) feature: the possibility to hide DLCs and extras.

I always wished for that feature to be included in the old sales...sigh...another example of "be careful, what you wish for..." I guess.

Also sort by price feature is nice. But the rest is just terrible.
There are even two display layouts (list view and grid view) – and both are terrible :D

it's really bad. should keep the 'from your wishlist' thing on top and go back to the old one.
We need MOAR arcade classics, GOG! :P How about making good on that SEGA partnership, eh?
@gog
Any chance the other Metal Slug games or the quite wonderfull Alien Carnage / Halloween Harry could appear here ?

That's a point, or rather, Two Points... ;)
Again, something in the way the sale page is written, and with the way the layout is.....

It's like whoever used to run the site is gone and has been replaced.

I mean, I like seeing a write up as opposed to just a blank page. But it still feels like there is weird uncanny valley thing with how it is written.

Something on how it asks if your feeling nostalgia....like the author doesn't know or understand. Like an executive or a computer program trying to convey an experience they don't know how to feel.

It just continues this overall feeling that something is really off about GoG.

Just can't shake it.

Like the shotgunning of sales that are all over, broken pages, odd layouts, emphasis on features no one is asking fo, and a general lack of communication that doesn't feel like corporate or bot speech.
It's weird.

I hope the midweek deals will be better than this .

Yea, there is a certain forboding feeling about how the tapestry seems to slowly peel away, like cheap paint flakes, trimming and breaking off a rusty and torn metal.
Like a being begrudgingly and rhythmically, following instructions, whispered by the notes of a requiem.
Like an endless void has found something to be filled with, by consuming it whole.

It's like someone trapped/held inside is asking for help, but instead of communicating directly, fearful of reprisal, they try to show it by acting abnormaly.
