http://www.gog.com/forum/general/steamgiftscom_gog_gift_club_v3/post861 We have been asked to address and express the group's stance on one of the new features introduced by SteamGifts v2 called "Blacklist".
From the SteamGifts FAQ
How does a blacklist work?
"On user profiles, you'll see a button that has a circle icon with a slash through it. Clicking this button will add the user to your blacklist. This means the user will no longer see your giveaways on the homepage, and they will not be able to view or enter your giveaways from this point forward. If the user entered one of your giveaways prior to being blacklisted, their entry still remains valid."
We have been discussing this feature since a long time before it was introduced because it has a lot of potential issues that will affect the group.
Here is what has been decided in our group regarding this
1) Members of the group are free to block anyone they wish to not enter their giveaways, however i urge the members to use the blacklist feature to block fellow members only if its a serious issue, blocking fellow members will cause a break of harmony and trust among members that the group has had for so long and members will be subject to attacks over excluding someone.
2) There will be no calling out of names, attacking and crappy hidden hints that a particular giveaway made is blocking someone in the giveaway threads. This will be dealt seriously not limited to removal of the member or warnings.
3) If a member finds out that someone else has blocked them in their giveaways you are to deal with it outside the group, Contact the member via pm try to resolve it out.
We also request members to PM any of the mods if they are blacklisting a member along with the reason so that we are aware of it.
4) Blacklist is a personal difference between two members, it is something that group cant interfere with however calling out names in public forum, harassing/abusing the gifter over it is not allowed. If anyone comes across this they are free to report the issue to the mods of the group.
Feel free to contact any of the mods if there is a issue regarding blacklist.
Completely forgot to mention about our stance on another two features SteamGifts v2 has that is multi-group giveaways and Whitelist:
1) you are free to do multigroup giveaways including other groups
2) These giveaways will not count towards your contribution count for the giveaway specially when checks are performed for Rule 10 mentioned here
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/GOGGIFT 3) Group rules will not be valid and checked for in such giveaways since it will have entries from people not in the group.
Giveaway including whitelisted members entries:
1) you are free to do group giveaways with whitelist which allows whitelisted members to enter.
2) These giveaways will not count towards your contribution count for the giveaway specially when checks are performed for Rules #9 & #10 (formerly #10 & #11) mentioned here
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/GOGGIFT 3) Group rules will not be valid and checked for in such giveaways since it will have entries from people not in the group.

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/steamgiftscom_gog_gift_club_v3/post936 BlueKronos: I was wondering though if our group user stats page (http://www.steamgifts.com/group/f2hXw/goggift/users) takes that into account or if it ignores whether any additional groups were part of a giveaway so long as the win or the gift came through our group. Does anyone know for certain? I can now answer to that definitively: The SG system is not as "dumb" as may looks and actually takes in consideration if a giveaway was made only for 1 group or if it was a multigroup giveaway. Depending of the number of groups involved after the winner has marked the gift as received, the giveaway creator gets an increase in "Gifts Sent" and "Value". But if it was only for 1 group, he/she get the 100% on the number of gifts involved added to the "Gifts Sent" stat (giveaway for 1 group with 1 gift, he/she gets "1" added to his stat), if 2 groups were involved, he/she will only get only the 50% on the number of gifts involved added to the "Gifts Sent" stat (giveaway for 2 groups with 1 gift, he/she gets 1 / 2 = "0.5" added to his stat), and so on...
( Number of Gifts / Number of Groups ) = Value added to "Gifts Sent" for the member in the Group Stats Page.
We can see this already in that stats page of any group, members with a number in Gifts Sent as "X.Y", "Y" a decimal number different from 0, for example: 10.3, 17.8, 25.1, etc... means that that user did at some point one or more multigroup giveaways.
In this group only integer numbers will be considered for giveaways only for this group, multigroup giveaways are excluded (won't count). When in doubt, we can always check manually.

http://www.gog.com/forum/general/steamgiftscom_gog_gift_club_v3/post971 This is just a reminder to all the members: Remember that by September 24th 2015, the 5-month period allowed to members to fix their numbers under acceptable levels by the new rules announced the past April 24th will end. The members should use this time to work on their numbers, but instead just entering for too many giveaways with a huge negative gift difference will end in a permanent ban. We have seen an increase in giveaways and activity and all that thanks to all members working and making giveaways for a better and active group, many are doing good and the rest of the members really appreciate that, but in spite of all that, some seem to be set in a "I don't care" mode and doing nothing, or just entering for more giveaways. There're no more warnings, so don't wait for a warning now. People entering more giveaways with an increasing negative gift difference will be kicked from the group permanently at any time. After the 5-month period ends the rest of the members with a huge negative gift difference that didn't made giveaways in the last 5 months will be banned too. Again, there will be no more warnings about it, LiquidSnake already have mentioned this many times, and I can't be warning every member with negative numbers because, after all, every tool needed to check for those have been posted here or here and listed by many members on SteamGifts too. In case of doubts or any type of problem about the group, you know you can contact and ask any moderator of the group.
I know it sounds a little harsh, and trust me when I say I don't like to ban people because many of those I already know and have exchanged good comments and gifts. It's a little sad and I've been trying to not do that unless really there's no other way, but as a moderator I will do what I have to do for the good of the group and the people doing something for it.
To the rest of the members, many thanks for all the giveaways and the laughs, you're the core of what makes this group really great ^_^
