Finding an important bit of information in a video game can be a very interesting and exciting part of it. But today certain developers, those of Shadowrun: Hong Kong's expansion and Baldur's Gate: Dragonspear, have decided to trade that for a torture justification.
What.
What?
What do you mean by that?

I remember a couple of polemics about torture in gsme, but it's pretty rare. I don't remember playing a game where you acquired information by the mean of torture. Maybe in "Inquisition", but that's not really a glorification of it, as it's a flawed mean.

Hm. "Knight of Honor", okay. A hit and miss method, but it's a medieval strategy game, not exactly "24".

I don't see a trend or pattern in videogaming.
One game is set in a science fiction crime story the other in a medieval fantasy a little torture isn't an unusual sight there.
TALK!!!
Does this mean we get Manhunt and GTA 5 here?
I'll play this silly game...What?
