Quar777: When are Heretic 2 and Indiana Jones and the Infernal Machine coming out?
Let's get Heretic 1 and Hexen first.......there appears to some ownership problems with those.

simsd1982: A game that I would definitley purchase would be the DUNE series as in Dune (1992) , Dune 2, and Dune 2000 those games I have 1,000s of hours playing as a kid.
I think the licence wondership for the Dune games has changes.
So GOG has to get two companies to sign on:The company currently owning the licence and the company that owns the rights to the older Westwood games. That is why you won't see any Lord Of The Rings games here in the nwar future.

More I read of We Happy Few, more I want to see the final release version...
And I dig their honesty - (excerpt from Jun 28th interview )
"Ah, so there’s a standalone survival mode?

Epstein: There is going to be a sandbox mode, because we promised it in the Kickstarter. I don’t know exactly what that will look like, because we haven’t made it yet."

Fairfox: i wud liek it moar if they hadnt liek taken peeps' moolah $$$ (thankful lee naht mine) an then uhh uprooted devlin'

didnt peeps get offered refunds if unhappy? i fgorget. buuuut at least thars taht :)
I'm afraid to ask but what's uprooted devlin' ? :)
I'm sure peeps were given choice to give money or not, at least - and they will be owning a game that has grown bigger than it was first planned.
But one can surely think what one wants about all that, lots of stuff changed... Many delays and all that. But I still dig the feeling of the gameplay trailers I've seen...
Thank you for letting us know about this year's releases (or possible releases).

nicepsion: Thank you for letting us know about this year's releases (or possible releases).
So the games we really want ( Dune, Red alert ( EA games)never at GOG ?
which leaves us with tons of new games of which many will be just more 'ew' games then good (old) games.

Anyway its always nice to have >1,000 games at GOG and maybe 10K of games at GoG in the future , who knows :D
but if 90% is not what we really like / want ..... i go for quality over quantity anytime , if we want quantity: Steam has tons of games and as much shovelware ...:D

This year : 27 games in the past 10 months thats not much , including a few cheap games and a DLC...
included are games from Artifex i already owned at Steam ( and retail) if i remove those from the 28 thats minus 9 leaves 19 games in 10 months = 1.9 game , add to that i havent bought anything dure the large sales this year and last year ....
thats a pretty sad period.

JMich: snip
Any updates ?

What's your opinion about the latest release trend of Gog ?
avatar
i_hope_you_rot: Any updates ?
None. For various reasons, I am taking a break from the forums (though Galaxy does notify me of chat and replies). And the thread has (in my opinion) ran its course, since the releases of the first 10 years seem to have a relatively standard ratio of old to new games.

What trend? GOG still releases games I'd buy and games I wouldn't buy. Age wise, I haven't paid any attention.

So, same as every year since the Omerta DLCs?
I don't think I've gotten a feeling in any week of GOG not releasing enough games, and I don't see the releases of DLCs as releases, mostly as keeping a game up to date. As for indie games vs old games vs AAA games, I also don't care. I mostly see games I'd play and games I wouldn't play, but my perspective has always been extremely weird.

P.S. If anyone wishes to take over the spreadsheet, you have my blessing.

Thank you for the reply .
Can we expect more old school D&D SSI/Interplay (same vein as the goldbox games) to come to GOG anytime soon? Especially the important ones that are still missing. Thanks.
