A really cool guy gifted me Caeser 3 and Planescape torment.
I've been playing the former since he gifted them to me and am taking a break before I start the latter
Avadon: The Black Fortress. Got it from the latest Humble Bundle. Wasn't really expecting much to be honest, but so far I have 67 hours in it and I think I'm only about 3/4 of the way through. Decent fun too.
I just started to play baldurs gate, i wonder how long i will last on that game. :)
Now that Diablo 2 LoD is done, the same emptiness strikes whenever finishing some big game you've been concentrating to: what next?

I've almost completed Heavy Gear story career, but as it is running on my Win98SE laptop which I access more rarely.

Maybe Baldur's Gate which has also been waiting on my hard drive for finishing for so long? Somehow I just don't feel like firing it up and trying to figure out where I am and what was I going to do next.

Or maybe some RTS, like KKND 2?

Or since Diablo 2 is fresh on my mind, maybe I should finally start some of those other Diablo clones I have like Nox, Darkstone, Titan Quest, Sacred Gold, Revenant or that Japanese samurai themed Diablo clone whose name I forget? Just to see if they did something better than Blizzard?

Heck, I might even continue with Diablo 2, either trying to replay it with higher "Nightmare" difficulty with the same Barbarian, or select a completely new character class, which unfortunately would mean starting again with Normal difficulty.

ICO on PS2 and Halo 2 on XBox are also waiting, but I hardly ever feel like switching on either system as they'd reserve our only TV. It just feels like a rude thing to do, a bit like lying on the couch, blocking anyone else from sitting there.

Decisions decisions...

Preorder Diablo 3 and play something else until it is released. :p

Anyways, I added Medieval 2 Total War to my list of games-currently-in-progress. I've more than 20 regions so far, with around 60 turns spent. I'll say I am half way there, although the game is getting harder the more turns you play. Hopefully I'll be able to do finish up the campaign this time (failed with Scotland the last time I played on the hardest difficulty) with England.
Still on Eternal Sonata on the PS3 but also playing Metal Gear 1 and 2 (the old MSX versions) through the Metal Gear HD collection.

Joking aside, for some reason Diablo 2 (fortunately) didn't leave me hungry for Diablo 3. Maybe it would have if I were big on online multiplayer.

In Diablo 2 it was already infuriating how you couldn't just save and drop the game on short notice without penalties, I just didn't feel like stopping the game 1AM because I wanted to reach the next waypoint so that I wouldn't neessarily have to fight the same monsters again.

Some Diablo 3 beta article suggested that currently Diablo 3 is even worse: it doesn't let you even pause the game, so if you need to go somewhere, either leave it running or exit the game (and lose progress, apart from maybe exp points and items).

I hope the other old Diablo clones didn't mimick those features from Blizzard games.

Jamyskis message reminded that I should really play the Metal Gear (at least Metal Gear Solid 1-3) games at last. Earlier I got distracted in the beginning parts of PSX MGS.

Now I'll concentrate mostly on Baldur's Gate. I'm currently revisiting areas that I've cleared already, just to see if I missed any subquests. For example in some area near Beregost there was this guy scared of some bear, waiting all this time to give me the prize for killing the bear. Apparently I had killed the bear at some point.

Frankly, I have no idea where I'm supposed to go next, and why (regarding the main story which I've completely forgotten: I could be looking for the murderer of my father or some legendary stone which will grant me divine powers for all I care). Even the journal seems to point mostly to subquests which have no relation to each others.

BG is the kind of game that for some reason makes me sleepy when I play it, even when I find it semi-interesting.

On the side, I also still play a bit of Heavy Gear when I get too tired of BG. It is a bit silly in that some missions may first feel ultra-hard when three enemy mechs (the bigger-than-gears units) send homing missiles to your way, and then the next time the same mission is rather easy when two of them get stuck when they try to walk through a mountain wall or do something else really stupid, and I can destroy them easily by shooting their back with a pea gun. Something that irritated me already in e.g. Wing Commander 4. But I guess it is realistic that sometimes enemies do stupid things and you take advantage of it.

While not quite as good, the game reminds me why I liked Mechwarrior games so much. I had a bit problem with those homing missiles in HG, until it dawned me that I just have to modify my gear to move faster (mostly less armor, and throw away useless weapons like grenades) after which I can pretty much outrun the missiles. Trying to find the compromise between having enough firepower vs. speed for each mission. The first 20 or so missions could be handled with slow but powerful gears.
Just completed Doom on XBLA

Now I'll concentrate on finishing
Bastion
Deadly Premonitions
Arkham Asylum
Beyond Good and Evil HD remake.
After being able to cut myself from Star Wars the old republic, I'm near finishing Mass Effect 3 and Resident evil revelations. I willl go for Legends of Grimrock after that.
I have been playing Crusader Kings 2 and Football Manager 12 for a few months.

And few days ago installed Mass Effect 1. I have lost old save games so I plan on making rerun of ME1 and ME2 before I dig mine teeth into ME3.
I just finished Tales of Graces f with some bouts of Superfrog and Pod Gold inbetween.
Silent Hill Downpour and Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2

I'll probably be getting The Witcher 2:EE next week, but I'm not sure when I'll actually start it.
