What single player games made you feel like you were playing with other people?

As I've said here a million times...

... I'm a big fan of Dragon's Dogma, and one of my attractions to the game is that the AI party interacts with the player and world almost like they were real people. Yes, it's not perfect ("Wolves travel in packs!" and "It's weak to fire!" rattle off a million times) but the banter and generally competent (and somewhat autonomous) AI are just enough -- for me -- to make the adventure feel alive instead of a solo experience (ie Dark Souls). Dragon's Dogma does just enough to fool my brain into thinking I'm playing with others.

Are there single player games that have made you feel almost like you were playing with other people?
Welll... Baldur's Gate started the whole banter thing, and some Neverwinter Nights modules mimick it. Though saying that I felt like there were other players involved would be a bit much.

Hm,...maybe "Divinity: Original Sin" and "Divinity: Original Sin 2"?
Virtua Fighter 5 and it's pseudo-online mode which consists of bots with fake profiles and ai habits.
Nier: Automata makes you feel like the whole spirit of mankind has got your back. Such a profound and beautiful experience.
