I want to play a good multiplayer game that can handle 4 or more of my friends in a match and I'd like it to have an active playerbase if possible.
Ideally the game wouldn't be too cumbersome to pick up either. We all have reasonable amounts of experience with shooters. Asking for personal experiences with the games here, as I know the unreal games have a stellar reputation.
I know there's 4 unreal games, which would give us the most fun experience and ideally a good amount of hours to be enjoyed from?
Tight map design and constant action are great as well.
Any other games that people suggest that fit my criteria would be appreciated as well; the unreal games are just the first ones to come to my mind.
