I'm dealing with a pretty common issue with the GOG version of Obduction where the game would crash frequently. I figured installing an older version would help (since the issue seems to pop up after a certain point), but GOG Galaxy will only let me go as far back as 1.6.0. Steam, on the other hand, can go all the way back to the beta version. What's the deal with this? Is there a way I can install old versions without having to resort to Steam?
You're out of luck. GOG isn't about your freedom to play the version you like...
You can roll back to older versions of games on Steam? When did this happen?

I was on Cyan's Discord and asked if I can download older versions of Obduction. Someone replied that you can do it on Steam.

You should contact support. They should be able to help you.

It is possible through the use of Steam console. You basically look up the version history on SteamDB, then download an older version manually via a command line interface. Here's a guide.

GOG Galaxy has a command line feature. Do the scripts on this guide work the same, or will I have to convert?

I think with Galaxy you can only go back to the earliest version released here (for games after Galaxy) or the earliest Galaxy-enabled version (for older games).

I didn't know Steam supported this... I thought Steam enforced updates pretty much. Anyone care to test this with GTA: San Andreas?
