i_hope_you_rot: Can we expect another freebie today ?
Freebies are nice, especially if they are games which i normally wouldn't buy, though i'm eagerly waiting for the surprise they have in store for us, if that means we'll have some new big release here. :)

I'm calling it, 'Fallout 4' is going to release here.

But considering GOGs cough "architecture" cough it would probably mean no mod support?
Also multiplayer capabilities hidden behind Galaxy component?

Nexusmods is all you need for modding, well, in most cases. :D
Fallout 4 has no multiplayer component, do you mean the Creation Club?

Before I forget, I was half joking with my post. :)

It's an unwritten rule that GOG releases are often botched beyond repair in terms of compatibility with existing mods.

I hv never played F4. I mean multiplayer something. Perhaps I was confusing that specific functionality I meant with some other Fallout game, or perhaps it's not even considered multiplayer (maybe "network functionality" would be a better term).

I wouldn't be suprised if that would be true. Tho at this point I wouldn't be interested anymore considering the direction GOG is going lately (you know, EGS, certain-game-with-letter-D, "my rewards", plus some other things).

I can only speak of the games that I own, but I've had no issues modding them so far (Fallout 3 and New Vegas, Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines, Stardew Valley and others).

Fallout 76 or 67 or something is an online only Fallout game, maybe that's the game you meant?

Xeah, there were quite a few severe screw ups lately. :/

I know about F76 being "online cr*p experience".
I did not mean that game.

I meant something specificly within F4. Perhaps I mistook some functionality from a mod as being a part of a game.

These "screw ups" will ultimately cost GOG me as a customer.
If I could (I am looking into it) I would refund everything I bought here.

I didn't come here for empty promises and petty (GOG) company games.
IF they would DARE to someday take away offline installers for already purchased products or would otherwise limit something severly in a way that would impact me - they would very well get legal action from me in some way or another - I, from all people in this sh*tty worldline, am not the kind to let some sh*t slide just like that.
Are there going to be anymore flash deals?
avatar
joveian: In case you or anyone else reading is unaware, they have said they will refund the difference if there is a lower price within 30 days (even if they don't write back within the 30 days). It is still annoying and at the moment might take quite some time for them to make the refund. I have one pending for Kingdom Come: Deliverance that was $4 less this time than the Friday/Monday sale and they sent out a message saying that support has received many times the number of requests than ever before. When you write, mention how you want the refund since they always seem to ask even if you purchased with wallet funds.
Do you have any reference from a blue for that?
Wonder if that thing on the 4th has to do with Death Stranding with it getting it's DRM removed from Steam. I think we might get it here as a release. Having a very strong feeling about it...

If so? I am ready for it!

I got an email similar to that, stating they would make sure to discount the game due to the support delays during this sale. Probably did that since they are aware many ticket resolutions are likely to go past the end of the sale on Jan. 4th. Seems like the're trying to do right by us.

It wasn't a blue, but an email from their support staff. Though the message was auto generated, likely by their staff initiating it rather than their system.

No idea if it's a flash sale, but they did say there would be one more surprise before the end of the sale.

That would inevitably require Galaxy for online-related functionality.

The reference that price differences are covered under the refund policy is:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogs_updated_refund_policy_has_your_back_even_more_96fb5/post61

That is in particular about refunding to buy again rather than refunding the difference, but others (non-blue) have said GOG has refunded the difference in some cases even before the new refund policy. Here is a blue post about the 30 day limit applying ony to when you write, not when they get back to you:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/gogs_updated_refund_policy_has_your_back_even_more_96fb5/post431

As gog2002x mentioned, they sent an automated email that they are "working on making sure we will be able to offer Winter Sale discounts to those that we couldn't have helped during the promo period". This doesn't strictly promise that they will actually do so, but effectively does.

The full email:

If further assistance is not required please reply to this message with:
#solved
to close your request.

As our service is currently extremely overwhelmed - with an ongoing, unprecedented volume of incoming requests, many times higher than ever before - this will help us provide support to Users that still need it. If that is you, we kindly ask for your patience - our agents will get back to you as soon as possible.

We are also working on making sure we will be able to offer Winter Sale discounts to those that we couldn't have helped during the promo period. Please also rest assured that if you requested a refund within 30 days from purchase, no matter if our Support gets back to you after that period passes, you are still eligible for a refund.

This is an automated message.
