I have the game XIII and I know how to save checkpoints through F5 but why is there a save feature that I can't use ?

Have you tried saving via the main menu?

I think that game has only checkpoint saving IIRC.

I think this is correct. I tried playing XIII a while back. Before every chapter or halfway through each chapter it will save. They aren't that long each (10 minutes maybe?) so it's not being unfair overall.

I'm sorry for having the game and apparently using the mod XIII+ disables it because of the new multiplayer thing.
Using both at the same time is not working in the current version.
I just completed it (again) after 16 years.
Fun game.
