StriderJP: Therefore, would the distribution of Japanese subtitles by GOG disappear?
We've stated in numerous places since November that GOG's version of the game will only have support for the EFIGS languages (English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish). We're sorry if you ended up purchasing a copy of the game that's not in a language that suits you. If you contact support, they may be able to do something for you.

As a reminder: please post game-specific questions in the appropriate forum. Thanks!

StriderJP: :: snip ::
I'm a bit confused by your complaint. We announced the languages that we supported, showed them on the preorder page, the FAQ, and the gamecard. We didn't mention every language that we aren't supporting because that would be a very long list. Why did you think that we would have support for Japanese in GOG.com's version of the game?

Smannesman: It looks to me like the answer is yes, you need to buy the Japanese edition from a Japanese retailer to get the Japanese subtitles.

I might be wrong, but I don't think so. I'm pretty good at understanding Engrish.
Ah. If that's the question then, yes. You need to get the game from a Japanese retailer (I suspect) to get the Japanese version of the game. Probably there will eventually be an Extended Magic Super Rainbow Magic Edition that contains all of the languages (Like with TW1), but that will also be a while coming, I'd imagine.

bansama: There is no Japanese version currently available, one is advertised for release at the end of July but that, like most PC games, will likely only be available via Amazon or CyberFront directly.
I was hoping you'd show up. Thanks for the info, bansama!
