EA at the dice summit said there making a American Mcgess's Alice 2. Not much else is know about it but i cant wait. With the tec. now this game should be one hell of a acid trip hopfully.

Guess I'll have to try and play the first one!
Holy crap! I did not see that one coming. Alice has always been kind of a cult classic and those of us who have been fans of the game had kind of resigned ourselves to never seeing a sequel (some would say one was not required). I am really surprised that EA would drag this one out of the old games bin for a sequel.
Goog news everyone! First one was pretty good.
Alice 2? Whoa, that's pretty cool. I hope that McGee's running the show behind the scenes.
What can I say other than "good luck". It will be very, very hard to pull off another game like Alice: A lot of the game's appeal came from it's rough and unpolished appearance and simple gameplay, which is something that's entirely missing in modern games. Make Alice complex and smooth and you'll ruin it.

I couldn't agree more. However, if you look at American McGee's current project, Grimm, it retains that "rough around the edges" feel of Alice while still being a very polished game. If he can maintain that kind of quality in an Alice sequel (assuming he is actually involved in the design and not involved in name only), he could just pull it off.
Yet another one here who did not play the first game. Local department store still has copies for $10 I think, but for some reason I've always skipped it. Weekend coming up, may explore on solving this issue.
Great news. I loved first one and I hope second one also be awesome. I trust American Mcgees and EA.

Let's just hope they use another engine: Grimm's system requirements are really absurd for such a game.

I heard that American McGee has been given full creative freedom on the entire project, so if it fails it will be down to him and not a publisher trying to throw it out the door.
For those that have played alice and grimm, was alice in your opinion better then grimm for gameplay? I have only played grimm and to be honest I was very underwhelmed with it.
It had a nice gimmick but thats pretty much all the game was.
Alice was leaps and bounds above Grimm, Grimm is exactly what it's supposed to be, simple episodic gaming, Alice was more like an actual game.

Yikes! That spells bad things for this game...
American McGee needs to stop.

The first Alice was a fantastic game. I wonder if American McGee will have anything to do with this edition.
I'm always afraid of follows-up to great old games. And seeing what has American Mc Gee done recently, I AM afraid.
Plus, I don't really know why they're making a sequel... in my opinion the first game wasn't too long nor too short, and the scenario well... why making a sequel. "Oh no, the imaginary friends of Alice still need help!". It just doesn't make any sense to me.
